J. Jonah Jameson Joins The Green Lantern Corps
I am surprised that there has been no mention of J. Jonah Jameson or The Daily Bugle in connection with the Amazing Spider-Man sequel. I understand that the movie will have enough on it's hands with the introduction of Electro, The Rhino and Norman Osborn among others, but still the whole newspaper photographer angle seems like a big part of the Spidey mythos to leave out for a second time. The JJJ scenes from the first trilogy were some of the most well received, and it will be hard to top J.K. Simmons' portrayal when they do try to recast the role. That shouldn't stop them from trying though!

Maybe he should be a Red Lantern? Good cover none the less!
:D
Very cool!
Yeah, I could totally see ol' JJJ as a Red Lantern. This is awesome though.
I'm thinking that they might be saving J. Jonah Jameson for a big, epic reveal like Norman Osborn. I'm not sure who could fill the spot. JK Simmons was pretty awesome. Maybe they can bring him back, like Judy Densch was M for both Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig...
Red Lantern was also what I was thinking.
And I also agree that J.K.'s portrayal of Jameson was dead-on. JJJ is that rare character who is pretty much the same between the main Marvel and Ultimate Marvel Universes, and he's a hard role to fill, so like AirDave said they might just bring J.K. back for this version as well.
(I also liked the idea in Ultimate Spider Man that Peter would join the Bugle staff as its webmaster. Not only was it an appropriately modern twist, the irony of that was not even lost on the young man himself.)
Somehow I can imagine Jameson either as a Red Lantern or an Orange Lantern.
The people have spoken ..... J.J.J. ..... Red Lantern! Ross, make it so! ;)
Actually, a lot of the pre-press for the film is coming directly from the Bugle's Tumblr account:

Hey, if Judi Dench can Bond with both Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig, JK Simmons can JJJ for Garfield as well as he did for McGuire.
Four words:
Stan Lee as Jameson.
