Detective Chimp and Howard the Duck

One of my earliest television memories is watching an episode of Lancelot Link.  I remember thinking that these monkeys dressing and talking like humans was just about the funniest thing I had seen in my short life.  So, it's no surprise that I get a kick out of Detective Chimp, in both his classic and modern appearances.  I can see him working with Howard, making for a fun good cop/bad cop pair.

YOU are my favorite person today. I didn't think anyone else remembered Lancelot Link!

yes! great cover, and they would make a good buddy cop movie, way better than savage dragon and axe cop.

@Anonymous - Hey man, I've got a better team-up for ya. Monkeyman from Monkeyman & O'Brien & Congorilla ( I'd choose Gorilla Grodd, but I wanna keep this team-up on the side of the angels).

Ah, yes -- Lance Link, Secret Chimp... with Mata Hairy and the rock band Evolution Revolution. What memories.

As for today's cover, yet again you present something that I would never have thought of, but seems completely natural once I see it. I've known about these two characters for quite a while, but it would never have occurred to me to team up the respective talking animals of the DCU and MU. And it's a well-done piece of art, to boot.

I do hope the story has a follow-up, though.

Hm... I wonder if there's any way to team up TMNT with the Road Rovers? The Rovers never had any comic appearances (that I know of), but there are lots of stills from the cartoon as well as promotional pictures and of course fan art.

Another combo for Red-Rum-18's New Amalgam Project. He mixed them together to make "Platypus Chuck".

Had to look up Road Rovers, I think I must have missed them the first time arround.

I much prefer the original, non-talking version of Detective Chimp from the 1950s (which is admittedly odd, since I've only read one story from that series, but I'm a big Carmine Infantino fan). This is a great cover.

I would rather see Howard and Detective Pikachu. Especially if the former got some of his tail feathers singed (lol)!
