Justice League of America and Power Man & Iron Fist

Seth Rogen's Green Hornet may have turned studios off to the concept of a buddy comedy superhero movie, but I still think that Marvel should give Power Man and Iron Fist a try.  I'd love to see a period piece set in the 70's which fully embraces their classic looks - high collar, chain belt and all.  Of course, that's not the only route.  A modern day setting which includes elements of Brian Michael Bendis and Matt Fraction's  takes on the characters could be cool as well.  I have heard of solo films for both of them mentioned, but I think they work best together... perhaps Marvel is more interested in starting solo and building to the team up film, though, given their success with The Avengers.

Tarantino would be a good director for a Power Man and Iron Fist film.

ha ha, who was Superman pointing at in the original cover? This looks like one of those great issues from from the 1970s, when I was still to young to be a serious collector, so I would buy an issue, and quickly trash it once it was read twice or pass it on to a friend. Then I spent the late '80s and '90s tracking them all down!

Dave sez,

Iron Cream,
That would be a CLASSIC Teen Titans cover! The storyline following this issue I believe is the Titans following Loren Jupiter out of costume with Hawk and Dove.

This is a very cool cover!

I think Green Hornet and Green Lantern are isolated incidents.

I would like to see a Power Man movie, an Iron Fist movie, then a Heroes For Hire movie...

Y'know, Tarantino might be a very interesting choice...

The bonus of having Tarantino direct is that he would not only make it a 70's period piece but cast himself as D.W.

Dude this my favorite cover by far! I loved this issue of the Teen Titans. I also like how you added the Atom in the picture. Power Man & Iron Fist were deal when I was growing up.

Love the concept, and love the fact that you put Lynched by the league as the title, with Luke Cage standing right freaking there. Ballsy and funny:)

I recognize the source material for your composite drawing. The cover of the classic TEEN TITANS issue that first introduced Loren Jupiter and Lilith Clay.

How I'd love to see a drawing based on AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #60, featuring Webhead saving Lilith (in her Golden Canary Go-go costume) from the Kingpin's thugs!

not sure why, but iron fist appears in a cameo of Justice League of America #6! It looks like him with his cape for sure!
