Mister Miracle and The Escapist

It's been a while since I have heard of any movement on a film adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.  I hope it is still in the works because I thought it was a great read with a unique backdrop and has the potential to be a movie with a unique visual style.  I think it is very cool The Escapist has made the transition from the pages of the novel to starring in actual comic book adventures.

Mister Miracle has yet to appear in the new DCU as far as I know.  I love his gaudy costume and can only imagine what kind of redesign DC has in store for his eventual return.  Hopefully they won't change it up too much.

I've been meaning to read that book for awhile now. Not really my genre since I prefer either non-fiction world politics/history, or fiction based in Africa/Middle East or Asia. But what the hey, a recommendation from Ross and the Pulitzer people should count for something.

Wait--when was it revealed that there was an adaptation of Cavalier and Clay in the works?

What I'm waiting for is a sequel to The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay because that book ended right on the cusp of the Silver Age dawning. Would love to see what the author does with that time period.
