Well, The Avengers is approaching 800 million worldwide and it has a chance to make over a billion by the end of the weekend. This will open the doors for a lot of comic based films which could be a good or bad thing depending on the quality of the productions. Based on the mid-credits sequence, Marvel is not shying away from the truly epic events for future films, which opens up a lot of possibilities as well. We still have The Dark Knight Rises to come this summer so it will be a one-two punch for great comic movies. if the new incarnation of Spider-Man does well, it'll just be gravy. It's a great time to be a comic book movie fan and the future looks very bright.

I have that book, it's great. I would also recommend Modern Masters: George Perez and Focus on George Perez.

I have both Crisis on Infinite Earths and Infinity Gauntlet, both excellent reads. War of the Gods wasn't my favorite. But JLA/Avengers was well worth the wait!

Is Arak ever going to show up here?
I don't think I ever checked out Arak - he was a warlord spin off, right?

Yeah, I'd say it is.
Arak was Native-American. He kinda a spinoff from Warlord but Roy Thomas really went somewhere else with him. A fantastic, overlooked from the '80s, and the best artwork of Ernie Colon, many would agree.
