Captain America and Wonder Woman (Vs. the Barons!)

The trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier has been released, and I like what I see so far.  The costume looks better than the one he wore in The Avengers and the Winter Soldier looks like he stepped right out of the comics.  I wish The Falcon's outfit was closer to the classic version, but the brief glimpse of the Ultimate Comics-inspired suit looks pretty cool to me.  It will be fun to see more of the Black Widow, not to mention Robert Redford back in a big blockbuster. I was not crazy about Iron Man 3, but between this trailer and the one for Thor: The Dark World, Marvel looks to be back on the right track.  I hope that the films live up to the promise of the footage I have seen thus far.

Oh Heck yes! The trailer promises us a darker and grittier tale, and I'm loving it (I'm definitely not in the camp that's nostalgic for hero movies being sappy, light or overly fun, which is why I enjoyed the Man Of Steel film as well.) This is gonna be good!

Awww, yeah! Cap is the best!
One of my earliest comics was Captain America with The Falcon. I would argue that all black characters in comics have suffered from "Blaxploitation" of some kind. As cool as The Falcon's costume was in the comics, that's one costume I won't mind not seeing on film. I LIKED Cap's Avengers suit. Phil helped design it, remember! :) Don't dissin' on Phil Coulson! I think Thor and Captain America are going to rebound in a big way! Now we just gotta get a good Hulk movie! Iron Man 3 gets better on a second and third viewing. I still think Ben Kingsley was fooling EVER one and will come back more heinous.

Interesting... most people I know thought Iron Man 3 was a HUGE improvement over IM 2. As for a good Hulk movie, we had it - it was called The Avengers.

I saw Iron Man 3 again and it's flaws stood out even more - too much reliance on humor (I like some humor as in IM 1 but this one played as a comedy for the most part) and Tony seems to be getting worse at making armor - now they fly apart into pieces with a single punch, really killed that final scene. Plus not nearly enough time with Tony actually in the suits. If he can remote control them, why use a man inside at all? It had some fun moments like the plane rescue, but a lot of really strange decisions.

Another great cover, Ross. Lately I've been very impressed by your technical ability. Here you had to find four images and craft them into a seamless whole. And your use of fonts is excellent. Where you found the Baron Blitzkrieg image I'll never know. Anyway, this one and the Katana / Master of Kung Fu one from a few days ago really blew me away. Great work as always!
