I always thought there might be a connection between these guys. I mean, look at the matching color schemes on Optimus Prime and the US 1 truck - that can't be a coincidence!

Maybe because the companies were working with colors of the country's flag as a subtle nod for patriotism? Whatever the flag's colors were, that would be used...just like Captain America.
Superman came out before WWll, so they went with primary colors for the blue, red, yellow.
Sleeper Agent? We've seen all kind, so ...could be.😎
@Carycomic, hearing about the Oscars list, does this mean Hollywood is more likely to throw another Wasp in Barbie 2 than the Atom? Either way, it'd be another shrimp on the Barbie. Rim shot.
@Ross: when you're right, you're right. Once again, you come up with a surprising-yet-totally-plausible relationship.* Makes me wonder who could be next. Herbie the Lovebug as the long-lost son of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?
*A la the Blake Brothers, the Danvers Sisters, the Bartonelli Siblings, etc.
And Speed Buggy as part of the family? Maybe the slacker cousin?
@Bigby65: Hmmmm! Could be.
@Det. Tobor: I haven't read the Oscar nominations, yet. But, I guarantee you, the nominees for Best Picture will not include any big budget action-adventure films. As the governing board of the Motion Picture Academy still regards such movies as glorified kiddie-schlock (a la their prejudice against animated features).
Well, guys, we do have the Road Warriors. Most of these comments would make for a decent story should Ross ever decide to revive that group. (I would've liked to have added Bumblebee to the Road Warriors anyway.)
Here's an idea: Grimlock and the Hulk. As if English wasn't broken enough already! Or, add Bizarro #1 to get a team started.
@Bob G, What would a Bizarro Hulk look like?
Absolutely inspired work!
@Detective Tobor:
He'd probably turn into Bizarro-Banner when he gets angry, and Bizarro-Hulk when he calms down.
"Make me angry. You would like me when me am angry."
@Det. Tobor: he'd probably resemble an albino version of the Gray Hulk.
@Anon723: more like an under-sized Solomon Grundy, I'd say.
ACtually I think US-1 was in the first issue of Marvel Transformers?
