Adam Strange and Ghost Rider

I still think that Adam Strange has all the elements to make for a great movie.  The concept of an Earth man that travels back and forth to a distant planet where he falls in love and battles space monsters is full of potential.  Perhaps the box office failure of similarly-themed John Carter has lessened Adam's chances for big screen glory.  Still, I think it could work well.  Give him a plot that has mysteries to investigate on both Earth and Rann and watch as he tries to solve them both while never knowing exactly when he'll be able to travel between worlds.

That's a great question. Is the Hell of one planet connected or is the same as the Hell of a different planet? Or Each Earth and its universe.

Not a big fan of the animated movie that i've seen so far for Adam.

A greater question would be: how did GR get to Rann in the first place?
The classic Silver Age tales established that the zeta beam only strikes Earth in the Southern Hemisphere.* So, I have to wonder if he might have been magically teleported to Rann as part of a special favor on behalf of Alanna's brother-in-law.

*Which, to be honest, was a pretty clever use of real-world science to explain away the convenient lack of witnesses to Adam's periodic vanishings.

You can tell GR to relax. No doubt Adam's big (younger, twin?) brother Stephen has things all under control.

John Carter was not given a chance to succeed...

So that's why they said Adam has a chance in Hell to pull it off.

Since Aparo drew the original cover, I'm guessing Ghost Rider's place originally was filled by Batman, and this was a cover of the actual The Brave and the Bold.

You are guessing correctly.

Gardner Fox admitted that ADAM STRANGE was an updated, modern version of JOHN CARTER giving him a more scientific basis in a futuristic rather than archaic background. The "Crisis of the month" structure of his stories was perfect for the 8 to 16 page format of the period. Still is one of my favorite characters!

Loved DC's sci-fi characters especially Adam, I was thrilled to see him with Batman in Brave and Bold! I thought some of the best stories had mysteries in both worlds and going back and forth.
I agree Adam should be a movie or tv show, with today's special effects they could do alot to make it good, if they have good stories!

Adam Strange was an archeologist working in southern hemisphere so it made sense. The Zeta beam did not hit ground in north but he could reach it with jet pack with him calculating where it would go once he got it. This worked until a writer got lazy and just forgot that detail.

i have always loved Adam Strange stories . his run in Mystery in Space is a classic . my favorite cover of all time is MIS 55 , and it's my fav wash tone cover out of all the ones that DC did . if you're not familiar with that cover , do yourself a favor , and look it up !

my fav is #59 - Duel of the 2 A.S. because there is an almost 3 dimensional feel to the cover.

My favorite was the one where Adam teamed up with the JLA against Kanjar Ro of Dhor.
