Wesley Dodds was included among the classic JSAers depicted in the first episode of Stargirl. I'm not sure how much time will be spent on flashbacks to the past in that show, but it would be nice to showcase him in action at some point. He has one f the coolest looks of all the Society members and it would be great to see him battling injustice in his prime.
Sleepwalker first met Sandman in STF #1779, and he encountered Sandman of The Endless in STF #1211...

The outfit, minus cape, reminds me of the 1940s Green Hornet. Very sharp. Gotta ask - how did they wash his costume back then (or most of the JSA's)?
The Golden Age Miss America probably used her molecular transmutation powers to do the dry cleaning.
"Bless their chauvinistic little hearts!"
Another good one. Seeing the Sandman (IMO the Gaiman Sandman has no connection) I can glimpse the misty outlines of another team.
It's that hat... Very Golden Age. What about...the Mad Hatters: Sandman, Green Hornet, the Spirit, the Question, Rohrschach... Perhaps others?
The Justice Hat Club of America?
Forgot the Phantom Stranger!
And the Shadow!
The Fedora Squad
Keeping the world safe for M’ladies everywhere
Seems to be a pretty DC heavy team though
Great name.
DC yes, but partly because DC has gobbled up adjacent universes. A bit of a Crisis...
So far the only Stargirl episode to feature a significant scene with the "original" JSA has been the pilot. I think there'll be more, though; the Wikipedia article lists the JSAers as "guest" roles, but initially they were "recurring," and I don't think the producers would bring in the likes of Henry Thomas or Lou Ferrigno, Jr. for a one-line cameo. It may be a while for Wesley, though; as far as I know the role has not been cast, and his equipment was not among the stuff that Courtney nabbed from the JSA HQ.
@Horsefeathers: For Wesley, I just figure Dian (Belmont, his perennial girlfriend) laundered the suits. Many of the other JSAers had similar relationships. (Assuming women would taken on the job would be sexist today, but was the reality back then.)
A Sandman/Green Hornet meeting did happen way back in #959, where we learn that a green suit isn't the only thing the two have in common. I do think it'd be cool to see them back together with a shoulder-to-shoulder view, though I imagine Ross has a lot of ideas on his plate so I'm not holding my breath for it.
@Dave: Similar to the above, the Shadow and the Spirit met in #403, and the two pairs of heroes could make a decent "Suit Squad," especially if one other DC hero is included (I'd suggest the Phantom Stranger, as the one who brought them all together). One could even argue for the inclusion of Darkwing Duck.
In Sandman Mystery Theater, Wesley Dodds, being rich, had a valet / butler, who took care of the laundry / dry cleaning ideas. GL and Flash could use their powers. And as Yolanda remarked on Stargirl, Wildcat's costume "smelled like a gym locker room".
As for Stargirl, I think some of the articles may have had confusion between StarMan's JSA buddies, and StarGirl's new squad of heroes, since they are re-using the names. Other than the opening sequence, everything else about the OJSA and OISA has been through portraits that mimic Alex Ross's JSA covers.
Great links, @Bob. Thanks. I already feel the Power of the Golden Age Hat pulling these individuals together... Who or what is exerting this mysterious force...The Hat of the Covenant!
Yes, (non DC) Indiana Jones is being pulled in too
@Dave: Well, I was looking at the suit as well as the hat. If you just want to stick to fedoras, then yes, Indy would be in, though DW would be out (his hat is a tando). Too bad Marvel has never really embraced the costume archetype with its heroes.
How about a three-way team up featuring actual teams? In this particular case: the Justice League, the League of Champions and the Mighty Crusaders (from Archie Comics) versus D. E. M. O. N. The name of a Hydra-like organization that all three teams faced between the Sixties and the Eighties!*
*Destruction, Extortion, Murder, Oppression, Nefariousness
Newsflash, Anon: It was the Silver Age Superman, alone, who confronted an evil super-group with that acronym. And another thing?
STOP PLAGIARIZING MY TRADEMARK FOOT-NOTING!
Oh, yeah! Superman Vol. 1/#191.
You were right (for once).
@Cary & Anon: Personally I associate D.E.M.O.N. as an organization in the Champions Universe (from the Champions RPG/MMO). Too bad Ross isn't a fan; it might be interesting to see that group being faced down by certain mystical heroes, such as Dr. Strange or Blue Devil.
(Though the CU appearance I'd most like to see is between the Presidential campaigns of Lex Luthor and Foxbat! Access could even show up to merge them into a certain all-too-familiar Presidential figure.... Nah.)
@Bob: As I understand it, the rpg villains were carried over to the comic book spin-off. But, the name of the comic was modified to "League Of Champions" after some kind of corporate schism between the publishers and the game manufacturers.
Loki of Midgaard has more specific details at "International Superheroes Catalogue."
