Captain Atom and The Fantastic Four

The Thing is my favorite Marvel character, and I remember being disappointed to see that he was replaced on the FF with She-Hulk, following Secret Wars.  That changed quickly though, because I thought she fit in very well and her tenure marked one of my favorite runs for the team.  Ben Grimm had his own title at the time so I still got to enjoy his adventures.

You could make a cover with all of the FF's backups - Crystal, Medusa, Luke Cage, Human Torch III, She-Hulk, She-Thing, Ant-Man, Namorita, Storm & Black Panther, etc.

Now this is one smokin' hot cover by Ross Byrne! Shulkie is in top form and the Captain stands out as a guest. Oh, and about those lists asking for all the Captains to team up, hows about 'the Captains Command' for the group.. or Cap Comm to keep it short. I'd hang my 'cap' there anytime.

I had always hoped to see a real-world Marvel Team-Up story entitled "You Are Cordially Invited..." to the wedding of Venom and Dreadface.

But, to paraphrase the immortal words of Mick Jagger: "We can't always get what we want!"

Whoa!
What we need following this pandemic is a Batman/The Thing team-up!

Some thoughts inspired by the above comments:

- Build a team with powers similar to the core FF, but with all non-Marvel heroes (Elongated Man and Concrete, for example) as they go on a quest to find the missing Marvel First Family. (You could alternately use Astro City's First Family.)
- A return of the Captains Marvel.
- The above FF roster teaming up with the Outsiders to find the missing Ben Grimm and Batman.

And, relevant to the pandemic (including both new and old ideas):

- Doctor Strange and Doctor Mid-Nite re-teaming to help find a cure
- Professor X and Oracle exemplifying work-from-home (Box and Negative Man probably could be a part of this as well)
- Spider-Man, Deadpool, Vigilante, Sandman, et al passing around face masks
- Rogue and the Human Bomb practicing "social distancing"

Finally, relevant to certain other events, I think we could all use the sight of Steel beating the living crap out of the Hate-Monger.

@Bob Greenwade ... The most obvious response of a Fantastic Four DC's counterpart could be:

- Elongated Man, Gypsy (JLA Detroit/JL Task Force), Fire (JLI) and Blok (Legion of Super-Heroes)

Curiously, in 2016, following the events of 'Dark Nights: Metal', DC Comics published a comic book line 'The New Age of DC Heroes' (formerly titled as 'Dark Matter'). Among the titles was included - created by Jeff Lemire and Ivan Reis - “The Terrifics”:
- Mr. Terrific, Metamorpho, Phantom Girl (Linnya Wazzo), and Plastic Man.

The line was considered a commercial failure. As of July 2019, all of the constituent series ("Damage", "The Silencer", "Sideways", "The Curse of Brimstone", "The Immortal Men", "New Challengers", "The Unexpected") had been canceled except "The Terrifics".

I loved She-Hulk in the FF. I wasn't quite as fond as Sharon Ventura but I liked her more as the second Ms Marvel than as She-Thing. Has the Ventura Ms Marvel appeared in the STF-verse?

I know that suggestions from non-Patreons are not very welcome here (lol), but I would still like to suggest:

Ross could promote, through social media sharing this work (this blog, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram(?)) a monthly POLL for NEW covers, in the following categories:

* Original Team-Up! *
Two comic characters from different publishers (or pop culture already published in comics), with some logical affinity between them, which has not yet occurred in the STF. Except for whole groups!

** Team-Up revisited! **
New cover for one previous STF Team-Up. Except for Anniversary covers, full groups, and original STF teams.

*** Original Team! ***
Up to 6 comic book characters from different publishers (or pop culture already published in comics), with some logical affinity between them, which has not yet occurred in the STF and whose character is not part of any team already created in the STF. Whole groups are not worth it!

Thus, the suggestions - previously filtered by Ross (considering above rules and the feasibility of being done) - would be voted by those who follow and the winner would win a cover published here, citing the author of the suggestion.

I think this could be interesting, both for fans of Ross's work who would have a place to present their suggestions and even see them being created, as well as help Ross, who would have organized the suggestions, eliminating redundancies and rewarding - with the cover - those who accompany you. More divulgation and more Patreons would emerge.

Everyone likes to participate in what they enjoy. Whether making suggestions or voting.

Suggestions from anyone are welcome. A great suggestion is only one part of the equation though, gotta have the proper images for the cover as well. So if I don't use a suggestion it doesn't necessarily mean I don't like it, sometimes I just can't make it work to my satisfaction.

Well, then, consider this suggestion a good-natured challenge to your cutting-and-pasting skills.

Metamorpho vs. The Alchemoid (ex-Captain America foe)!

@Glenn and Pi: good idea! In fact, instead of a poker game, Ben and the others could attend a Fantastic Foursquare Dance!!
