Scarlet Witch, Batgirl and Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I am glad that WandaVision will still be coming to Disney+ this year despite all of the delays in Hollywood.  The teaser I have seen which show the couple in various sitcom-like settings has me intrigued.  Plus we'll finally see the adult Monica Rambeau (and hopefully her super-heroic alter ego), a character I have been looking forward to seeing since the MCU began.  Then there is the rumor of Mephisto appearing, it will be cool to see how the demonic villain is realized.

Way cool cover Ross. But, while I know Wanda and Buffy, what is Barbara's skill set in going after demons?

Detective skills!

Thanks for that clarification. Didn't know if it was detective skills or I.T. skills.

If we work with that magic is manipulation of matter & energy, could Dr Manhattan outdo Dr Fate? Could he also take on Nightmare and Dormammu? In one way, I think of Dr Manhattan as a kind of Ultra-Firestorm. Capable of doing ANYTHING thru control of atoms, even more than the Molecule Man.

Regarding end of Agents of SHIELD, very weird it is going past breakup of SHIELD in MCU, I heard an interesting cinematic *RUMOR* about end of season - It is all a dream of Phil Coulson after being shot in Avengers as part of his revival from death by Fury.

Oh and Barbara's skill could have been her photographic memory allowing her to memorize a very long spell to banish the demons 3 (Abnegazar, Rath and Ghast) in followup cover.

Your most intriguing team-up, to date, Ross. These ladies could form their own sorority...named after Buffy's scythe.

Interesting point: minus the Scarlet Witch, this could have been an Alicia Silverstone cover.

I don't think there was any doubt about WandaVision coming out on time. Filming was finished last year -- even before The Falcon and the Winter Soldier did.

I, too, actually am quite hoping to see Monica become Photon. However, the big news is that Quicksilver will be returning -- played not by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, but by Evan Peters!

Mostly I wanted to do an All Phil Noto Cover, he draws gorgeous women. Did Silverstone play Buffy? I've heard that Evan Peters may actually be playing Mephisto!

Beautiful cover. Beautiful ladies. The Fearsome Foursome. (Better than the Fearsome Threesome, don't you think?) So a return for these 3 plus 1 is called for!

@Ross: Nope1 The 1992 original was Kristy Swanson. Silverstone was Batgirl (opposite that NCISLA guy as Robin).

I haven't though of Batgirl as having powers, period!

Like the Dark Knight, her greatest power is her will to win.

Great! They all look as if drawn by the same artist. Great continuity!

They were!

@Detective Tobor: Doctor Manhattan's only limitation (in the original Watchmen, at least) is his lack of free will. He's constantly experiencing his whole life at once, so he already knows what he's going to do and say in every situation, and can't do anything differently. It would be like living inside a TV rerun.

That may have been changed in Doomsday Clock. Don't know, didn't read it.

The hunt for the bell, jar, and wheel is on!

@Bob Buethe: that's mostly because not a lot of comic specialty stores didn't buy it! Not up in my neck of the woods, anyway.

My mistake. For some reason I was sure that Alicia played Buffy in the original film.

I've also heard something about how Evan might actually be Mephisto, but there's been no news of Aaron coming back as "the twins' uncle," a role that is confirmed to exist, so Evan seems the most logical choice.
