Insect Queen and Deadpool

It's rumored that Marvel will wait a while before introducing the X-Men to the MCU, probably at least five years.  Where does that put Deadpool, though?  They seem to have an interest in continuing with Ryan Reynolds in the role, but can you bring the character into the fold before introducing mutants in general?  Will they give him a nice long rest as well?

Ross, 6 stars out of 5!
I love the humor and the humor and, oh yeah, the humor.

Honorary Aunt Lana wants to go on a picnic later. Will she invite all of her college sisters there too? That will be a lot of aunts there. Maybe he'll decide it would be a boo-boo to go on a pic-a-nic without his own honey.

Was Deadpool expressing disapproval of her appearance...or the punny title?

LOL!

"Gross," indeed. Thinking IQ gets the least come ons of the female heroes but the creepiest come ons to boot. "Dear Insect Queen; I wish you were my little bedbug...sucking my blood as I sleep."

Looks more like she's saying he's SAFE! at home.

Has Taskmaster ever gone up against Deadpool?

One suggestion that I doubt will ever happen here... Insect Queen and the Stalk, from Saga!

Yes

Oooh! You know what would've made this cover twice as fabulous? Deadpool and Ambush Bug fighting over Insect Queen's affections!

Signed---not the one from three hours ago.

I'd like to see the pirates from the Asterix comics going up against various heroes as a backup series on STF Lost Issues: Popeye; the nemesis of pirates, the Phantom; Aquaman; Namor; the Spectre; Mighty Mouse; Super Goof; Tin Tin and Captain Haddock etc.

I know there are multiple stories in the Giant issues every 40 days. Ross, have you considered running a more frequent backup series?

P.S. I know this is a pipe dream. You do more than enough free work for your readers as it is with a daily post.

Deadpool vs. Popeye would be a real "pipe" dream. ;-)

More frequent than daily? Yikes, 365 covers a year is tough enough. Some fun suggestions, though!

Or Lobo vs. KISS!

It'll be 366 covers next year. 367 if you give us another bonus cover like you did (unnecessarily, I might add) on April Fools' Day this year).

Even I wasn't suggesting more frequently than daily. I didn't express it clearly, but meant to refer to a banner across the bottom "also inside, the Pirates vs. X"our something like that.

Thanks again for all your work.

Regarding Deadpool, the what I understand is that he will "continue to be his own thing" -- in other words, Disney (under the Fox banner) and Ryan Reynolds will just keep making Deadpool movies as something separate from the MCU. Whether those movies will ever tie in, or the Merc with a Mouth will ever cross over in some other way, is yet to be determined.

Also on the topic of Deadpool, I've come to learn of versions of Deadpool who are mashups with other Marvel characters: Deathlockpool, Galactipool, Grootpool, etc., as well as mashups with M.O.D.O.K., Professor X, Doctor Octopus, and others. So how about... Batpool?
