Mister Miracle and Moon Knight

So, Netflix is cancelling the Marvel Shows, and Marvel has no plans to continue them.  That means they are free to reintroduce the characters, but I am guessing that they will choose to wait a while before doing that.  This situation leaves them with room for more street level heroes.  Shang-Chi is already being prepared for the big screen, and I see no reason why Moon Knight should not be far behind.  Besides, I'm betting that Marvel Studios would love to try and outdo DC and Batman with a MK film featuring their own caped billionaire crime fighter.

Not into paying for electronic streaming services so now maybe they will release the shows on DVD sets.

Moon night? I thought it was fireworks night. Happy 2019.

I'd go to see MK on the silver screen. So long as they used that never-gets-old joke...

"Khonshu?!"

"Gesundheit!"

I think Disney has to wait 2 years after those shows are canceled before they can use the characters again. When that time is up I expect a clean start because they are not going to want to reference content from a rival streaming service with Disney + running. I hope that eventually means a movie based on The Defenders (Dr Strange, Hulk, Silver Surfer, and Namor) and a Power Man & Iron Fist movie.

Shang Chi? Are they allowed to mention his being 'The Son of Fu Manchu' now, or do copyright considerations still prevent this?

Everything is changing so fast in the streaming arena its hard to make any predictions. Warner Media is talking about having there own service, but no indication whether it would take over DC Universe or leave it as a separate tier in the larger service.

Its almost as bad in the movie area. If the rumors that "Avengers: Endgame" will have a Cosmic Reset Button big enough to have the FF, X-Men, and Avengers in the same universe and new actors playing the Avengers characters, it will easy enough to have new versions of the Netflix characters. And still have the Netflix shows available in the "From the Archives" section of Disney+.

I think we will eventually be talking about "pre/post Snap" versions of characters, movies & shows like we talk about "pre/post Crisis" on the DC side.

I personally wouldn't waste a movie slot in Moon Knight. He's had so many radically different versions in tone and characterizations that the audience for whichever version they choose to portray will automatically be a minority of even the fanboy audience.

Mister Miracle gesundheit. Where are The Super-7 (CBS Filmation (Hercules, Isis, Merlin, Super-Samurai (no relation to the Super Friend), Indian Rug Burn Girl, Envious Elena, and Old Doc Trafalgar Mortimer Montague the 3rd (Actually the last 3 I made up, because I can not recall the other 3 of the Super-7.)) when we need them the most!?!

I would love to see a Ka-Zar movie. I thinks it's an easy pitch to the audience - Tarzan meets Jurassic Park. Maybe this blog could have Ka-Zar vs Kamandi.

He's good. But when the moon is high, he's better! Miracle Moon Man. Servant of Khonshu Free. The movie no one has askened for!

@Simreeve: personally, I think Marvel should simply have ret-conned the Master of Kung Fu as Suwan's cousin. English translation: "The Son of The Yellow Claw!"

I mean, come on. All those alchemically-enhanced centuries of existence and YC had no children of his own? Puh-lease!

It is now seven minutes before midnight, Central Standard Time. So, in the immortal words of the late, great Scatman Crothers (of HONG KONG FOOEY fame): "Happy New Year, y'all!"

@Poochy: Regarding Ka-Zar and Kamandi: maybe Tennessee Tuxedo and Tuxedo Mask! LOL! XD!

Or Sailor Mars vs. Martian Manhunter!

;-)

I was originally going to suggest Tennessee Tuxedo Mask vs. Popeye Sailor Moon. But, I suddenly had a vision of millions of lurkers forming finger crucifixes and moaning "Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!"

One or more of the substances used in the Alchemy might itself have rendered him infertile.

Yeah, but with his scientific acumen--ALWAYS wanted to use that word!-- he could easily have made a transgender clone of her. That was certainly the all-too-plausible plot device used in the original NIGHT FLYER feature film with Catherine Mary Stuart.
