It always makes a big difference when comic artists illustrating expert fighters have really done their homework. When the reader sees a character like Shang-Chi or Iron Fist using actual martial arts moves, it adds a lot to the effectiveness of the scene. Hopefully this issue would contain plenty of such sequences.

No fear of that, Ross. The Paul Kirk Manhunter developed for the (deservedly now-classic) Council of Mykros story arc never failed to deliver on action-packed panels. That goes double for the original run of MOKF. And the story advertised by this hypothetical cover wouldn't have been an exception to either of those rules.
Now, if only we could someday see Shang-Chi teamed up with Richard Dragon (Ben Turner's original ex-partner)!
"Everybody was kung-fu fighting..."
Been rereading the Paul Kirk Manhunter backups. It is a real classic of comic book storytelling.
That pitch really deserves to be backed up by a team of martial arts masters -- which I don't think we have yet here, do we? Shang-Chi and Karate Kid would be the focal points, of course, but there are many great martial artists who could be added -- even Master Splinter, or perhaps Colleen of the Road Rovers.
For instance? Shang-Chi must break his sister's hold over the Bronze Tiger's best friend in "How To Tame Richard Dragon"!
I just hope Ross can come up with something catchy for a group name. Or, at least, one less lame than my first thought ("Chop Sockers").
