The crew of The Enterprise are no strangers to impossibly powerful entities, so this is a confrontation that would not be out of place on an episode of the original series. I'd like to see how Kirk, Spock and the rest respond to a meeting with the living embodiment of the universe.

Agreed, but did you have to use NCC-1701-A ersion ta do it? The original had more elegance and class than this "war ship movie version"?
it’s a interesting idea , how will a completely technical based society deal with a mystical being, he’s beyond any Q or other power that they come upon, i remember seeing him in strange tales all those years ago and being totally bambozzled …
Tobor, because that Perez image had the ship at just the right angle I needed and worked well with the Byrne Eternity.
@Det. Tobor: It could've been worse. He could've used the Enterprise from the ill-fated Reboot Trek-verse!*
@Ross: I compliment you on the seamless blending. Kind of reminds me of that recent Avengers story arc where they tried to explore the rest of the Omniverse (beyond the mainstream Marvel multiverse). Only to be turned back by Galactus!
*Poetry not initilly intended.
In the Star Trek documentary series "The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek", they point out that you are correct, Ross. The concept of the crew of the Enterprise meeting cosmic entities of godlike power was indeed a running plot the Roddenberry was constantly obsessed with, and managed to get it into as many episodes in each iteration of Trek that he could!
It would've been nice to see if Carolyn and Apollo's son took over that Earth-like Roman planet prior to the turn of the 24th century.
Based on all this, it might be interesting to see Kirk, Picard, Archer, Burnham, or even Boimler & Mariner standing before the Living Tribunal.
. "
Even more, though, would be the Living Tribunal with the Doctor. "It's not you who is on trial here, Doctor; it's your TARDIS!"
How about Sam Beckett quantum-leaping into Capt. Archer's body?
Um, what date is this one supposed to be? Or is it meant to be...eternal?
"A question. Since before your sun burnt hot in space, I have awaited...a question!"
Then, for Daviticus' sake, please provide us an answer, O Guardian of Forever!
;-)
Simply stated, that is simply beautiful!
Eternity should next encounter Oracle from the old JLA 100-102 or Star Trek Voyager's Caretaker (either the male or female version). Kid Eternity would also be an interesting cover choice.
^ I know you teamed them up awhile back but I think Kid Eternity should call on him with his power in a dramatic fashion instead of having a casual talk on a cover.
The Anti-Monitor seems like someone Kid Eternity would need help with in a BIG way.
WHAT IF...May Parker were "Auntie Monitor"?
^ LOL!!!
I wonder how GL Jim Kirk would deal with Borg-assimilated Manhunters?*
*Hint-hint! ;-)
STF #4231 might've finally answered your question.
