John Carter and The Martian Manhunter

Here's a long overdue revisit.  J'onn J'onzz first encountered John Carter way back in STF #38, over a decade ago when this was still an MS Paint blog.  the John Carter movie may never get a sequel, but there's no reason that this tale shouldn't!

Wonder if they still have green and the white Martians there?

I'm wondering if Mars is under attack-ack-ack-ack from those bulbous-brained Slim Whitman haters?

Big Daddy Mars (from John Carpenter's GHOSTS OF MARS): "Oooby-shooby-dooby-doo!"

Eng. translasion: "Hey! I resemble that remark."

One of these times, Ross, one of your 100-page specials should be an all-Mars epic: John Carter, J'Onn J'Onzz, Mars Attacks, Marvin the Martian, and perhaps even "Uncle Martin" (My Favorite Martian).

Doom on Barsoom! That's a great title! Also, wouldn't mind seeing a head-to-head battle with Dr. Doom vs. Martian Manhunter!

@Reg: see STF #462.

@Cary: see STF #411.

@Bob You can't do that without including the Yip-Yip Martians from Sesame Street!

I thought those were Koozbanians?

@Anon209: nah! You're thinking of the Galley-oh-hoop-hoops.

Not be confused with Destro's Military Armaments Research Syndicate.

@Anon629: Whoa! Good memory. :-)

Wasn't one of Chris KL-99's sidekicks a Martian? I think he should team up with John Carter next.

Jemm (Son Of Saturn) would also be a good DC choice somewhere down the line for John Carter.

That would make him Jemm, son of Xasoom, wouldn't it?

@Anon1038: By George, I think you've got it!
