Spider-Man and Martian Manhunter

The Trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has been released, and it looks like a lot of fun.  I know that some have been clamoring for Miles Morales to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but for me it still seems to soon when they have just established their teenage Peter Parker.  This animated spin-off seems like a perfect solution.  From the Spider-Gwen cameo at the end of the trailer, it looks like we can expect to see some other spider-iterations to show up in it as well.

Dr. Doom? Abducting Aunt May??

Please don't tell me this is another convoluted attempt by some super-villain to become Spidey's step-uncle! I swear; that old girl must be part-Siren.

Unless, of course, she's really a White Martian! Able to telepathically seduce men into becoming sexually obsessed with her.*

*That would certainly explain JJ's interest in helping to rescue May.

@Ross: It seems you omitted the word "Martian" from the "Manhunter" label at the bottom of the segment. The latter term linking to all your depictions of Claremont-era Paul Kirk.

Between the initials and the power-set, J'onn has always been one of my favorite heroes. But that Quitely image has got to be one the ugliest versions I've ever seen.

Who's Frank Quitely?

From Wikipedia:

Vincent Deighan (born 1968), better known by the pen name Frank Quitely, is a Scottish comic book artist. He is best known for his frequent collaborations with Grant Morrison on titles such as New X-Men, We3, All-Star Superman, and Batman and Robin, as well as his work with Mark Millar on The Authority and Jupiter's Legacy.

An ex-partner of Grant Morrison, huh? No wonder you dislike his artwork.

Anon: He's definitely an acquired taste. Some of his stuff on New X-Men and All-Star Superman was brilliant, while other (his tendency for thick bodies and square heads) stuff was jarring. But the cape, boots, and head on this image of J'onn is just wrong.
