Firestorm is one of my favorites. I wish as well that DC would have done more with Firehawk. She has such a cool costume.

Summer of '79. I remember that was the year Firestorm joined the League, and I started seriously reading and collecting the book. Good times, good times...

Firestorm and his near-contemporary Jack of Hearts always seemed like they got switched at birth.
Firestorm's a Marvel character in the DC universe, and Jack of Hearts is a DC character at Marvel.
I'd never heard of E-Man. Kind of surprising since that's been one of my nicknames.

I had the same thought as harry -- let's bring Firehawk to the Legends!
The second Anonymous remark, about Jack of Hearts and Firestorm being switched, leads to an interesting idea. Those two have met (in #1784), but what if they discovered that they've been in each other's worlds all along?

Very nice cover. I always thought of E-MAN as one of the greatest characters outside the MARVEL/DC pantheons.
Excellent. Nice mix of characters, really good resultant color pallet, and solid composition. I find 9as I often do) the odd placement of the CCA stamp distracting. I'd sooner see it below the price where they'd had done it, or omitted, but that's just a personal nit. Really, this is one of the best covers in quite a while. Makes me completely forget that these characters wouldn't normally meet.
Firestorm is my favorite character, I especially like the short stories in Flash comics drawn by George Perez. This is a great cover, Ross.

Love this team-up! I've never actually read any E-Man, but I'm aware of his existence from back in the day.
Interestingly Staton drew E-Man regularly, and drew Firestorm for Millennium!

Seem to remember there being a vote in the letters column of JLA asking readers who they wanted IN the League, and Firestorm placed pretty high. There was also a vote on who they wanted OUT of the JLA, which Phantom Stanger won, and don't believe he ever appeared again during the run. Of course, the editors pointed out whether he was ever officially "in" the JLA was a point of debate. Runner up in the "Out" vote was Batman - which shocked the editors. One of the first signs the times and the fan base were a changing. Eventually Bats would leave the JLA and form the Outsiders down the road. I firmly believe the vote (and the LOC debate over the next few months) made that decision easier
@Cary: I had to look up what SWEU is, and I don't see what application it would have. I mean the Legends, which is what the heroes on DC's Legends of Tomorrow call themselves as a group.

I don't watch that spin-off. The Flash two-parter used as the springboard was totally lackluster. Especially with Vandal Savage's worshippers coming off as a rip-off of the Order of St. Dumas over at Fox Network's GOTHAM!
P.S.---My misinterpretation was based on the fact that the former Star Wars Expanded Universe is now officially the Star Wars Legends Universe. Thanks to Lucas selling (out?) to Marvel/Disney.
BTW: did anybody else notice the Easter egg homage to Joe Staton at DETECTIVE COMICS #1000?
@TJW: then, you obviously haven't read DETECTIVE COMICS #1000, yet. ;-)
@Ross: I wonder at what point the descendants of Katrinka Colchnzksi married into the Morgna family? Sun Boy's mother's maiden name, perhaps?
