Wonder Woman and Captain America in: "'Til Treason Do We Part!"

This marks the 18th appearance of the WW/Cap team...

I was glad to hear that The Cheetah has been officially confirmed as a villain for the Wonder Woman sequel.  The casting of Kristin Wiig has me scratching my head though.  There's no doubt that Wiig is a gifted actress, but she is most known for her comedy chops.  I've seen her in a few serious roles, but nothing that makes me believe that she would be well suited to play Barbara Minerva.  Perhaps she will be portraying the Priscilla Rich version, though. I'll hope for the best, maybe she will surprise audiences the way Michael Keaton did in Batman.

Hey, Tom Hanks was a comic actor, until he wasn't. Seems like the best ones generally have the chops to play a range of roles.

We'll have to agree to permanently disagree, gents. I remember Kristen Wiig's performance in the recent remake of GHOSTBUSTERS. To call it "lackluster" would be putting it charitably! If, however, she were going to play the Golden Age version of the Cheetah (or even the Silver Age/Debra Domaine version), then I might feel less dubious.

But, I doubt it.

That being said, I have to wonder if Lady Clayface might've been impersonating the Amazing Amazon on behalf of Kobra. Breaking up the Star-Spangled Couple's marriage, through such Machiavellian means, would certainly appeal to the mastermind behind the Janus Imperative!

Jimmy Cagney: best known nowadays for playing tough guys... but got an Oscar in one of his song-&-dance roles, instead.

IMO Keaton was only good at playing a neurotic Batman; I suspect Kristen Wiig will not play the type of Cheetah we want with the actress basically wearing body paint to do role but it could be worse she could be dressed up like one of the X-Men in leather costume.

Good-natured challenge: a team up between Deadpool and Norbert "The Badger" Sykes!

P.S.---@ GH: I certainly did _not_ object to the lack of yellow spandex on Hugh Hackman's version of Wolverine. In fact, I'm unalterably convinced his portrayal was all the better for it!

@Anonymous: At least Glenn doesn't confuse Hugh with Eugene (lol!).

Actually Wonder Woman is a foreigner, in spite of her American flag inspired costume. I believe her people were based(?) on Greco-Roman mythology.

Superman is an immigrant, too. Sometimes immigrants make the most loyal of Americans.
