Hawk & Dove and The Punisher

I've lost track of where Hawk & Dove are in the DCU these days.  I remember them having a big role in the Blackest Night/Brightest Day event from a few years back, but haven't read much about them since.  The new Titans series seems to be an appropriate place to make a rebirth of their own, if it hasn't happened already.

I have an idea, and feel free to say its stupid, this is your site.

David Dunn (from Unbreakable) and Connor Macleod (Highlander).

Bother were sort of superheroes on the silver scree, when superhero movies weren't as popular as now.

Both also had a gritty feel to them, but are different enough to be intriguing together. Almost like a cinema only World's Finest.

The only problem is I have only ever stumbled across one useable image of David Duinne - which I have already used on a cover. But maybe that will change now that plans for a sequel are finally being discussed.

Hawk & Dove appeared in the 'Titans Hunt' limited series, which was one of the events leading up to the current 'Rebirth' set of storylines, but they haven't yet appeared in the new series of 'Titans' since then.

I didn't read BD/BN. Did that feature a zombie Don Hall or a zombie Dawn-Marie Granger?

I'm pretty sure both appeared.

I loved the original Hawk & Dove series, especially the Ditko issues. The Alan Brennert B&B team up with Batman was also very cool. But despite the fact that the Dove costume looks way better on Dawn than on Don, none of the reboots have appealed to me. Never liked the Lords of Order & Chaos concept very much.

A more-or-less random thought inspired by this (very well-done) cover: I think Ambush Bug would wonder why Punisher uses that name when he never offers up any puns....

...so, should it be Batman and Punisher (because Dick Grayson makes lots of puns, but never does any Robbin')?
