Well, they do claim third times are the charm! But, multiples of four provide better balance/symmetry.
Not only does The Rocketeer have a great score, but it is probably the single best superhero film ever made.

There are a few truly underated films out there and the Rocketeer is definitely one (along with The Shadow). I like to think that there is some parallel earth out there where both movies were given their due and sequels abound.

@DeepSeaLawson: I loved not only both of those films. But, also, Billy Zane's version of the Phantom. Totally faithful to the Depression-era comic strip by Lee Falk!
Rocketeer is a pseudo-pulp hero, not a super hero. But even if he were, nah.

@Doc Savage: even authentic Golden Age pulp heroes are hindsightedly called "superheroes" these days. So, just go with the flow!
