Black Canary Vs. Klaw
*Spoilers* for those not caught up on Arrow. Before Laurel Lance, the Black Canary of the CW died last season, she whispered a request to Green Arrow. This season we finally learned what it was, "Don't let me be the last Black Canary". The question is, who would that be? We now know that Artemis is a traitor working for Prometheus, so that rules her out. Speedy seems to prefer the world of politics, so I would be surprised if it was her. The final chapter of the 4-night CW crossover reunited Oliver and Sarah Lance and they have lots of chemistry. I'm hoping she switches back from the White Canary to Black Canary and joins Arrow again, where she really belongs.

Ross, White Canary is Sarah (not sure if it is spelled with the 'h' or not) Lance, not Dinah (Laurel's full name was Dinah Laurel Lance). And I, for one, prefer her as the kick-ass leader of the Legends than as Yet Another Sidekick for Oliver.
But Talia As'Guhl is supposed to show up eventually, which could bring back Nyssa, who has a history with both Lance women and could handle the required ass-kicking.
Hmmm ... on the one hand, Klaw can create constructs of sound (similar to Green Lantern's constructs of greenness) and his body is composed of solid sound, meaning he has no blood or internal organs to damage. On the other hand, Klaw is vulnerable to having his form disrupted by sonic attacks. Not to mention Black Canary is an excellent tactician (she practices "sound" strategy - heh heh heh) and Klaw is a bit nuts.
Be a good fight.
@ Anonymous #1: I don't watch ARROW, so I've no opinion--pro or con--about a replacement Black Canary. For all I know, they might even wind up recruiting the actress who played psychic Dinah on the ABC version of BIRDS OF PREY!
P.S. (@ Ross)---How about the Fantastic Four's Thing vs. John Carpenter's Thing?
@Anon #2: That actress' name was Rachel Skarsten.
Thing has indeed met John Carpenter's Thing on this blog,
...with a special appearance by Dr. Seuss's Thing 1 and Thing 2! (The only Thing you left out was the one from the Addams Family!)
@Ross: I went back five years. No sign of that other Thing, at all!
Click on the "Thing one and Thing Two" label to see the cover in question
Found it!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks. :-)
Actually, Birds of Prey aired on The WB, not ABC.
Ross, Laurel was never White Canary. Her sister Sara is the White Canary. I fear for the worst if Felicity becomes the new Black Canary since she has become from an ensemble darkhorse to a much loathed character.
The worst would be if she called herself "The Smoky Canary."
@Mateus: That might be the primary reason the series was only a one-season wonder. WB wound up not having as much money as ABC. Which is why they had to merge with UPN.
@Anonymous: "Smoky Canary?"
#WorstPunEver!
Actually, the TV show was a one-season wonder because it suffered low ratings and was one of the most expensive TV shows that the WB had invested in, which like you said, resulted them to lose money from that show and to suffer financial problems, which resulted them to merge with UPN, which also suffered financial problems, resulting in The CW in September 2016.
Sorry, I mean 2006 and also, I think like Jay Johnson said, it's probably for the best if Sarah remains in Legends of Tomorrow and fans probably want Laurel back to life and rejoining Arrow given that they've warmed up to her after Felicity became a very loathed character.
Hence, my hope she never becomes an antagonist called "The Smoky Canary."
