Wonder Woman and The Hulk (The Movie!)
Thanks to MeTV, I have finally seen every episode of Wonder Woman and The Incredible Hulk. Not only is it fun to watch these shows and revisit the TV superheroes of my childhood, it's cool to see which classic 70's star will show up next. From Shields & Yarnell to Sherman Hemsley to Rick Springfield, it's always an interesting blast from the past.
These two also shared a more traditional comic adventure...

I wish this had actually happened.
If I remember right Jack Kirby had a cameo on the Sherman Hemsley episode.
You and me, both, Al!
I've often thought how much sooner Wonder Woman could've subdued the Hulk (with her magic lasso) than Superman could have, way back in SUPERMAN MEETS SPIDEY II. But, let's face it. That full-page panel of the Green Goliath pounding away on a literally unflinching Man of Steel has become an iconic image worthy of bedroom poster status!
Are they fighting H. G. Wells's classic Martians?
I figured they needed a formidable oponnent
Yes!
Nice!
Back in the day I had mixed feelings about this. The two shows were very different in tone. Seeing this, though, I wish it had happened.
"Special Television Event" Ha Ha Ha! Who misses the pre-cable and vcr days when the former big three (ABC, NBC, CBS) had a virtual monopoly on television? Sometime I do, and sometimes I am glad those days are over! Remember how the "television premiers" of Superman and Superman 2 or a James Bond film were stretched out over two nights (Sunday and Monday), with commercials every 15 minutes! I actually couldn't watch part 2 on Monday night cuz I had homework to do (strict catholic elementary school). It sucked to be in the schoolyard the next day.
I still look for that Super version of Superman. There was like 25 minutes of extra footage not shown in theaters. Perhaps if another Internet push happens, like the Donner cut of Superman II, I'd definitely buy it.
LOVE these movie/TV team-ups, Ross!!
:-)
They are tougher than they look but fun to do - I creates a "Photo Cover" label so they are easy to find
Cover of the month.
