The Watcher Watches The Watchmen

I originally put this cover together as kind of a goof because I liked how the names went together, but now that I think about it, there could be a fun story to be told.  The Watcher is no stranger to divergent timelines, so I can see him peeking into The Watchmen's world and wanting to see if events would have unfolded differently in another reality.  Sure, he's got a vow of non-interference, but when has that ever stopped Uatu?

This is a great cover, on all levels -- the art goes together nicely, the story is an interesting one, and as you say the names meld nicely.

It occurred to me just yesterday that the Watcher could easily be put together with any number of dimension-hopping heroes and teams: Harbinger, Access, the Sliders, or even (this part just occurred to me just now as I was typing the list) my own Realm Hunter.

So this is what happens when Peter Cannon moves from DC to Dynamite? To preserve the integrity of two universes, the Thunderbolt that got away must die...

Intriguing cover Ross, now perhaps you could team up the Watcher with the Phantom Stranger. I'm sure the Stranger was looking for him in that Star Wars mash up you did recently.

I teamed those two ages ago, Isaac - check the archives to see!

Missed this cover and only saw it looking at previous Dr. Manhattan covers.
