Sandman And Rorschach
These guys have the right idea. If you want to put together a cool crime fighting costume, most heroes opt to look like circus performers. Sure, it may allow for freedom of movement, but there's a big risk of being a fashion disaster. These guys simply grabbed a hat, trench coat and face-concealing mask for their ensemble, and it works! They are two of the cooler looking street level characters in comics.

That's why I'm a fan of The Sandman, Green Hornet, The Shadow, The Crimson Avenger...
....AND THEY ARE ALSO THE DAMN CREEPIEST! But it works. It would work in real life too.
You should have thrown in The Question for good measure :)
Rorschach and Question have indeed met earlier on this blog...
Phantom Strange could join the club too.
The trenchcoat brigade?
@Jon: (in crude French accent) "No thanks, he's already got one, you see."

Definitely a cool and very plausible(well what passes for plausible in the comic book world) team-up. And yeah, the almost/near identical looks do oddly compliment each other. Very cool.
The Sandman's utilitarian costume (even his mask was both a disguise and protection against his own gas) made him my father's favorite. After he told me that, I was always on the lookout for Sandman appearances in JLA, &c.
