Captain America and The Shield
I hope everyone is having a happy 4th of July today (regardless of where you come from). The town I live in has fireworks just a few blocks away, so all I needed to do was pull up a chair to my window and watch them go off last night, it was a blast (in more ways than one)! Anyway, I thought today would be a good time to feature a double dose of Jack Kirby flag-bearing heroes.

This has inspired a request for Canada Day (July 1st). Captain Canuck joins Alpha Flight.
There's an upcoming cover along those lines that I hope you will enjoy...
M.I.B. V.S. R.I.P.D. make it happen.
This is a very fine cover, both generally as as an appropriate entry for the day.
Say, in your Captain America/Wonder Woman combinations, has Diana worn one of her "American Flagsuit" outfits? I'm pretty sure she's had a couple.
And along similar lines, it might be interesting to have Cap meet up with the Stan Lee Wonder Woman ("You're an imposter!"), if you can find a fitting picture of each.
I have some upcoming Cap/WW covers from different eras so we will see her is some of her other outfits.
Man, it's too bad King Kirby never drew DC's Uncle Sam. He'd have been a great addition to this cover. Not that it's not great on it's own. Glad it's another all Kirby cover.
Where did you get that Kirby Shield? I thought the only version he drew was Lancelot Strong.

The Shield character is a mirror-image (i.e., "flipped" or facing the opposite direction) from the cover of MLJ's SHIELD-WIZARD COMICS #7 (Summer/1942). That cover was Kirby's only work on that particular series. The interiors were usually by Irv Novick.
Ross, Your Kirby covers are my favorite ! Keep up the good work!
Great to hear as I have more all Kirby covers waiting in the wings...
