Captain America and Doc Savage

I don't think that Marvel ever got these two guys together when they had the Doc Savage rights, but I think it would have made for a cool story.  They both work well in various time frames so I can envision an epic saga that would span decades.  Get legendary Captain America writer Roger Stern to pen the tale and you would have a classic on your hands.

Very good idea, but the first "super soldier" was Hugo Danner, no ?

And very good cover.

These are amazing.

I don't know if you take requests, and it's two Marvel characters, but I recently realized that Devil-Slayer and Son of Satan were on the Defenders at pretty much the same time. There has to be a team-up cover to come out of that.

Thanks Doug! I always welcome suggestions, but I usually stick to characters who didn't actually appear together.

Sorry Ross, but this doesn't work; Doc Savage was trained from birth to be what he was (with no tinkering genetically) while Cap was just given a muscle building protein and a radiation bath to be what he was; Doc's not a super solider at all. Artwork's good, though.

How 'bout these team-ups (you need a little feminine element on this blog):

*Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) and The Spoiler

*Wonder Woman & the Black Widow

*Supergirl and anybody from Marvel Comics who's female (and young)

Love the covers man. This
cover still works because Cap may have been fed false information about Doc and sincerely believes what he is saying- even though it is erroneous. Of course, the fact that they may be in a parallel universe could also explain the differences. The mind boggles with the possibilities.

@Ross: Lionel's right. Although, Dr. Erskine could have been one of the many specialists hired to _assist_ in Clark Savage Junior's versatile training.

This is the Earth-STF Doc Savage, so it all makes sense.
