The Punisher and The Shadow
Marvel has once again retooled their Thunderbolts title and I am surprised to see The Punisher in the line up, alongside Red Hulk, Deadpool, Electra and Venom. Sure Frank Castle has crossed paths with many other characters in his career, but this is the first time I have seen him become a full fledged team member. Don't get me wrong, the team that has been assembled here sounds like it will be interesting to follow, but The Punisher joining a super group seems crazy to me, even a hard edged group like this one. I hope that Writer Daniel way comes up with a plausible reason for his inclusion, because nothing in Frank Castle's past appearances suggests that he was much of a joiner.

I feel sorry for Punisher in this one. Good job, Ross.
Damn cool cover, and of course this is definitely one of those duh! team-up ideas.
As for Frank joining the Thunderbolts..meh. Shouldn't be happening, no matter what reason Way gives, maybe other than keeping an eye out on the various characters due to some mysterious reason. But really, Frank's a loner, and really works better that way. Sure he was briefly a member of Chuck Dixon's Marvel Knights back in the late 90's, but he wasn't so much a member as a mutual target that kept the other true members of the team together to hunt him, for some weird reason, I don't remember.
Once upon a time, in the schoolyard, my friends and I would imagine teams made up of heroes that we thought would be great together. Very frequently I would suggest a team, and someone would say, "that's crazy, that character is a loner. what a dumb idea! you can't just put ANYBODY together, you idiot! For example, Spiderman could never be part of any team! Duh!" Well, I wonder what my schoolyard friends are thinking now?

It's like a very great pulp cover. Marvelous !
In the Shadow against anybody.... I'm betting on The Shadow!
More Shadow, please! :-)
The Shadow has a few more appearances lined up...
Now, with this kind of team up, you'd probably have to have put Cranston and Lane in cryostasis (like Marvel's THE TWELVE) in order for the Shadow and the Punisher to meet face-to-face.
@Anon501: Castle might be looking for Margot's biological father, William Lane. Alias...The Feathered Serpent!*
*It's a Wold Newton Universe thing.
