The Demon & Agatha Harkness join The Lord of the Rings

 

Both Agatha Harkness and Etrigan are characters that seem right at home in a Middle Earth setting, so this team up doesn't seem so far fetched to me.  I would especially interested in seeing the three magic wielders interact with one another.

Green Lantern and Flash Gordon

 

 

We are half way through the Lanterns series on HBO Max and while it has its moments, I hope it improves in the final four episodes.  There just isn't enough action, a character will just zip off and zip back and then just tell you that something cool you didn't see just happened.  There's maybe one or two quick moments of the ring actually being used per episode, and the rest is a bunch of people in normal clothes walking around distrusting each other.  The show is very well cast, I just wish the actors were given more to do and that the budget allowed for a little more actual Green Lantern style action.

Regular visitors may remember that Hawkgirl and Red Sonja previously participated in The Neverwar... who will be the next heroes to join?  Future covers will tell...

Catwoman and Medusa

 

Selina Kyle has broken into a lot of places, but this is the home of The Inhumans. Has she bitten of more that she can chew, and just what exactly is she after?  The answers are only sixty cents away!

Blue Beetle Vs. Kraven the Hunter

 

Time for another all-Ditko classic!  In addition to character design, Ditko was also a master of battle sequences, so I would expect this issue to be a true visual masterpiece.

Calvin and Hobbes Vs. Loki

 

This one is sure to be a battle for the ages. Roslyn the babysitter's replacement has his hands full.

The Falcon and Metamorpho "In the Lair of the Leader!"

 

This is the fourth meeting between these two heroes on the blog.  The Falcon and Metamorpho had a showdown with the Secret Empire in STF #4943, they fought the Trojan Horde in STF #3054... and they first met in STF #2641...

Doc Savage Vs. Doctor Doom

 

I have to imagine that Victor Von Doom holds a grudge against Doc Savage, ever since he stormed his castle with The Bondsmen back in STF #3790.  How will Savage fare against the malevolent monarch now that he's all on his own?

The Forgotten Heroes and The Watcher

 

Sad to say, most of these heroes are still somewhat forgotten.  Growing up, I enjoyed reading their adventures whenever I would come across them.  There were a few Animal man short cartoons about a decade ago and Rick Flag has appeared in the DCU, but I'm still waiting for the rest to find their way out of the comics pages. Cave Carson's rope is attached to a spaceship, in case you're wondering.

Doctor Strange and Raven

 

Dr. Strange is one to talk, at least the movie version!  Wasn't he left years ago compromised by the evil influence of the Darkhold, complete with a third eye?  I haven't heard that he is in Avengers: Doomsday, so maybe we'll have to wait for him to get a third movie to see a resolution to that plot twist.

Mister Miracle and The Hulk

 

Scott Free is known for being able to get out of any trap, using wits and gadgetry.  The Hulks just smashes his way through any obstacles.  It would be cool to see them working together in a great escape.

Hourman and The Rocketeer

 

The Rocketeer is a movie I like to rewatch every few years.  It still holds up amazingly well, the performances, plot and score still engage me. There are a few greenscreen flying sequences that have not stood the test of time but, that's about the only complaint I have.  I'd love to see a remastered version where those effects are cleaned up.

The Destroyer and Doctor Fate

 

There were no shortage of giant monsters running around in the Gold and Silver Age of comics.   Good thing there also were just as many mystery men in operation to tackle these menaces!  

Superman and Killraven

 

Killraven was one of those properties that I was aware of but never got around to checking out.  I didn't really get that costume of his.  I guess he wanted to protect his left shoulder, but wasn't as concerned with the rest of his torso?  Also, thigh-high buccaneer boots seem like a pain to walk around in, let alone run in.

Atom and The Wasp in: "Behind the 8-Ball!"

 

I love the Gil Kane-designed costume for The Atom.  Recent appearances of Ray Palmer have him sporting a new suit, but nothing compares to the classic original look for me.

The Atom and The Wasp have shared some previous adventures on the blog - They first crossed paths in STF #216... they fought back an Inch High Insurgency in STF #768... they faced off against The Cannoneer in STF #1646... they battled Kang and Chronos with Ant-Man in STF #1844, and are both members of Microforce...

Cyborg Vs. The Borg

 

Some of the best stories on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager revolved around The Borg. They are a great villain creation, and I'd love to see them facing off against a tech-based hero like Cyborg.

Doc Samson and Green Arrow & Hawkman

 

I used to enjoy the bickering back and forth between Ollie and Carter in Justice League of America.  Could Doc Samson help them to reconcile?  It might be fun to find out!

Wildcat and Tintin

 

Apparently a script has been written for a Tintin sequel to be directed by Peter Jackson. I had given up on this, as it had originally been announced when the first movie came out back in 2011.  I really hope the new movie gets made and I can't wait to see how it looks after being quite impressed by the visuals in Stephen Spielberg's take 15 years ago.

Mary Marvel and Typhoid Mary

 

Despite sharing a first name, these two could not be more different from one another.  It would be fun to see them face off, with their clashing styles.

Robin Vs. The Vulture

 

That Adrian Toomes just can't stop picking on teenagers!  Let's hope that Dick Grayson has some tricks up his short sleeves to make up for his lack of wings!

Phantom Stranger and Thor

A tale of Gods and Monsters to be sure.  It's interesting that the body hopping Ultra-Humanite wound up in such a hairy form, given that he was Superman's original bald headed foe - before Luthor lost his locks.
