In the middle chapter of this Three-Part Epic, we see that the Dark Knight has not taken kindly to the events of last issue! But if ROM is innocent, then what is really going on here? Make sure that you return tomorrow for the exciting conclusion!
Batman first encountered ROM on a Lost Brave and the Bold cover, an MS Paint effort from way back in 2010...

Oh, yeah! Rom should be looking over his shoulder for the Batman. His love for Catwoman might be semi-requited, at best. But, it's still an undying love, nonetheless!
Jeremy Wei's guess, from yesterday, might be half-correct, though. That might have actually been a Catwoman impersonator from the Skrull home world! I mean, think about it. Marvel's version of the Dire Wraiths described them as being a sorcery-practicing Skrull subspecies. And the method they used for taking over both bodies and memories of other species' made them almost vampiric! So, what if the Catwoman impersonator was the latest Skrull equivalent of BTVS?
What got ROM into trouble was to the human's viewpoint a killer alien robot is killing humans, not Dire Wraiths.
Wasn't there a Batman villain named ROMan Sionis...?
I'll see myself out.
Will Batman look for info objectively ?? Was that the real Catwoman? Why is Rom involved? Great structure, Ross.
1) He'll keep his temper on a short leash. Unless and until he finds somebody to vent his anger upon!
2) Probably not.
3) Because he's tracked Dire Wraiths to Gotham!
Is that Alex Toth art? If not, it’s very reminiscent of it.
Batman is by Cliff Chiang
