I vaguely remember watching reruns of My Favorite Martian when I was a kid. Superhero and Sci-Fi shows were few and far between back then so I liked sitcoms like that or Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie that featured characters with special powers.

What if The Flintstones had refrigerators that had animals that produced cold, like thei fire-breathing dragons used in other gadgets,like grills.,x-rays, etc.
They didn't have to. They simply imported ice for their fridges from the same Ice Age-stricken areas where they had year-round skiing!

I have been waiting to see this for so long, worlds almost fail me. I just hope Uncle Martin doesn't wind up being attack-ack-acked by those other Martians! The ones who double-crossed JJ way back-ack-ack in STF #411 (@ 5/29/2013).

I still say we need an all-Mars giant-size issue, with the Martian Manhunter, My Favorite Martian, John Carter, Marvin the Martian, the Mars Attacks! Martians, and maybe even the Martians from War of the Worlds. Maybe for #5100.
Was going to say something similar, at least as far as having either Martian Manhunter or Uncle martin dealing with the War of the World Martians.
Now if you added John Carter or Killraven.....

Ray Walston's Uncle Martin was soooo different from Jonathan Harris' Saturday morning version. It stared before Bewitched or Jeannie. It started great but reportedly, the show's creator couldn't come up with more ideas past yr 3.
I watched both the live action TV series, and the cartoon based on it that came out a decade later. Loved them both. But I was in elementary and middle schools at the time, no idea how either hold up today.
Ray Walston held up enough that he had a cameo in the feature-length tribute to the series starring Christopher Lloyd (in the title role). To say nothing of his numerous cameos as Boothby in Star Trek TNG and Star Trek Voyager!
Now if only JJ could've debuted on Lois and Clark played by a green CGI modeled after Michael Berryman and voiced by Christopher Lloyd!
@Carycomic: I can just see it, now. Jonn Jonzz is brought to Lois and Clark's Earth by HG Wells from a parallel Earth where the WOTW really happened! He was a captive of the Cephalopods and needs medical help, badly. So HGW brings him to the Middletown, Colorado, home of Dr. Saul Erdel: "the Einstein of Immunology!"
Erdel was mentored by Albert Schweitzer so he's used to non-white patients. And, having been a Red Cross observer in Nazi-occupied Europe during WWII, he had seen first-hand the result of man's inhumanity to those who are different. But, for some unknown reason, he had semi-retired to general practice in Middletown in 1955!
With Erdel's help, Jonn acclimates to Earth's atmosphere. In the process, they become good friends. Then, in the early 1970's, while attending a medical school reunion in Metropolis, he's mugged by some street thugs and dies from cranial injuries. The rest of the muggers go to jail, but their leader--William Church, Junior--is acquitted.
His telepathy revealing that Bill Senior's Intergang influence is responsible for that travesty of justice, Jonn joins the FBI and becomes...The Martian Manhunter!
Well, anyway, that's how I would've written up that L&C episode.
DC published an 'Elseworlds' story in which a version of the Golden-Age Superman, quite shortly after starting his career, fought against an invasion by Wells' Martians.
