Supergirl and The Lord of the Rings

The Supergirl teaser trailer has been released, and I can't say it did much for me.  So far it looks like more of the same, with an aesthetic close to the Guardians of the Galaxy films.  Still, it wasn't much to go on, and I will wait for a full trailer to pass judgment.  The rumors of a Superman/Lobo fight in the movie does have me intrigued.

Well I read the comic the movie is from & it was written as True Grit in space & it was great. I'm glad that stories from the comics are being made into movies.

"There is a pathway back."

Why do I suddenly envision Gandalf and the 4 Hobbits singing "Follow the Yellow Brick Road"?

@Anonymous: because, she's not at her Kansas cousin's house, anymore?

@Ross: to come up with elaborately specific reasons why would cheapen what I have to say next. I love it! :-)

Way back eh? Probably have to traverse the mines of Moria ....

Why do I have this odd feeling that the "way back" involves Mr. Peabody and Sherman?

But, doesn't even the Way Back Machine require a specific date as part of the chrono-spatial destination? So, when did Middle-earth exist? 91,937 BC...or 111, 959 BC?

[You see, THE HOBBIT was first published in Sept. 1937 while PEABODY'S IMPROBABLE HISTORY premiered in Nov. 1959.]

Oh, Linda Lee, you have gone thru the wringer already. ..BUT WAIT, there's MORE!! Maybe someday the fates will be kind and let you enjoy life. Maybe even knowing Howard the Duck!!

That's assuming Howard's not still leading the Vigilante a FOWL CHASE!

How about a crossover where the vibranium meteor in Wakanda is the same one that gave Vandal Savage his powers? *Please* tell me I finally came up with an idea you haven't yet! :-)

Howard the Duck, Marvel's preemptive answer to Ambush Bug...

Or simply backtrack Bugs Bunny's burrow to Albequerque, New Mexico (see STF #4744 @ this past April 9).

Minus the ability to see past the 4th Wall.

I will regard that as true (re: the newest Supergirl movie) only if Lobo is faithfully rendered as a Wolverine/Bizarro hybrid. Rather than, say, a cigar-smoking version of the Wakanda Forever Namor.
