Indiana Jones and Doctor Fate

 

Didn't anyone tell Fate that The Book of Nabu belongs in a museum?  I'll bet that Indy is going to!

Not so sure about the Book. Indy is obviously thinking that the Doctor's helmet would fit nicely on a Crystal Skull...

Then, Indy will basically be making the same mistake as whoever copied the Necronomicon and donated it to the campus library of Miskatonic University. Do the world a bigger favor, Jones. Let the Book of Nabu remain in the Tower of Fate!

On meeting Kent Nelson, I can just hear Indy saying, "Lord's of Order, Lords of Chaos... That's all myth! Abner Ravencroft tried to pursue them and look what happened to him!

I suspect that, in the end, Indy will figure out that this artifact really belongs with its original owner.

I echo Emsley, though; this outfit of Fate's is a new one on me. It definitely fits the style that we see Indy in here, though.

Maybe it was a costume of the Pierce Brosnan Fate from BLACK ADAM. But, one that edited out of the film's final print.

Questioning Fate strikes me as a remarkably bad idea; especially at Indy's age. Fate just might decide that Indy's fate is to just up and die of a stroke right this very moment.

It reminds me of one that was used in the JSA's revival after 'Infinite Crisis', although in that situation it would have been worn by (or, perhaps, "wearing") Hector Hall rather than Kent Nelson and Indy's presence alongside Dr. of Fate implies a date before that changeover... unless, of course, time-travel by at least one of this pair is involved...

Smallville was my first live Dr Fate..and, he's even been up on the big screen. Now he's in an "INDY" movie!! How times change!!
