Now there's a cover that would demand respect from the fans, especially if it came out before 1945!!
Artist quality has certainly increased since 1940s. Dick Dillin and John Buscema art work well together. I do not think the two artists ever collaborated .

Maybe they're made of glassy fish-scales. Making them transparent to the point of being invisible in water!
