Spider-Man and The Challengers of the Unknown

The fourth Tom Holland led Spider-Man movie now a go according to the actor.  Rumors have swirled from the plot being tied in heavily to the two upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars films to a smaller, more street level adventure.  I think that I would prefer the latter.  I loved the status quo set up at the end of the last movie, and would like to see that explored a little before he gets mixed up with a big crazy universe-changing story again.

This was really a great work. Up next will be Spider-Man/Doom Patrol, Wonder Woman/Blonde Phantom and Captain Atom/Solarman (yup, a Pendulum Press character Marvel had adopted for two issues in the late 1980s).

I'd prefer the Golden Age Solarman from Centaur Comics. He was supposed to be from Saturn!. So, teaming him up with the Danvers sisters against Thanos might be a natural.

Speaking of naturals: it makes perfect (if frightening) sense that Ultivac might be taken over by Dr. Doom. The man is the only Marvel super-villain who exceeds both the Mad Thinker and Machinesmith, put together, as a master roboticist! Plus, the Challs aiding Spidey against him gives a new meaning to the title of that old Amalgam Comics one-shot: "Challengers of Doom."

Great concept, Ross! The only thing that might've made this even better is the inclusion of that psychic Corinne Robbins. I would love to see her reaction to learning Spidey's civilian identity in a real-world version of this comic. :-)

@my namesake 8:31, I am pretty sure the Amalgam team title was "Challengers of the Fantastic"
