Deadman and Daredevil

For some reason the similarity in costumes between these two heroes never dawned on me until the pairing was suggested by comics' historian and Patron of this blog, Marc Tyler Nobleman.  They really do look like they went to the same tailor.  Thanks for the idea, Marc!

Boston Brand finally gets to possess a character who has the same Athletic abilities… poor old daredevil will be able to see due to having Deadman inside him but never know about it… or will Boston have no Vision at all…

I likewise thank you, Marc! I've been hoping for just a team-up, too, although for more alphabetical reasons. ;-)

To put it another way; it's a shame this cover couldn't be in 3-D.

A pairing that's truly tailor made.

Good one, Emsley! :-)

Plus, having been a circus aerialist in his mortal life, Brand was a professional "daredevil", of a sort.

He even used the Silver Age Thomas Wayne Junior as a host body under the stage name "Devil" Dayre!

Simon raises an interesting point. I'm sure Deadman gains the sensory abilities of someone he possesses, but does he get the sensory disabilities?

His (presumably accidental) capitalization of Vision brings up another question that I think has been discussed here before: could Deadman possess our favorite synthezoid? Seeing a Deadman/Vision cover where Boston either does so or figures out a workaround would be interesting.

@Cary: Nice thought. In a way, though, his is a 3D cover, if you look carefully enough.

I could see this being continued on the RED EYE. If Boston stays blind, how would that shift affect him? In a way, Boston reminds me of Dr Sam Beckett of Quantum Leap for going into others lives.

More like the French art style called "tromp l'oeil".

I think Deadman once possessed a wall painting in an old B. & Bold issue (to scare someone) so I'd think popping into the Vision or even Machine Man would be easy act for him.
