Green Arrow and The Black Widow

At first I wasn't all that excited about a solo Black Widow film.  It sound like it might be pretty cool though.  Wth The Red Guardian, Taskmaster, and fellow Black Widow Yelena Belova in the mix, there should be plenty of drama and action.  Plus, the events of Avengers: Endgame will give all the proceedings a deeper significance.  Hopefully Hawkeye will make an appearance and we finally find out just what went down in Budapest.

Green Arrow first encountered Black Widow with Daredevil in STF #1935...

This seems like a milder effort since Arrow & the Widow are reflections of Hawkeye and Canary. The title provides a bit more spark since the questions come up as to who and why Ollie is being looked into.

Soon as I read the title, this popped into my head: Green Arrow & Dazzler in "Dancing Queen."

Awesome cover! One of my favorite issues of JLA was that one issue where Ollie quit. He got a solo issue of JLA - and then he was right back with the team.

I think a Black Widow film is long overdue! Kind of a bummer how her story ends though...

At least we'll always have Budapest...

"Vetting Queen?"

Does this mean SHIELD is thinking of him as a replacement for Foggy Nelson?!

Widow is going to have to teach Arrow better moves than he's got or else he'll never unleash The Queen's Gambit in time for the final curtain.

These two heroes have a point of connection: their live-action versions sacrificing themselves to save the universe. Nat did it in Avengers: Endgame, and Oliver's about to in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event.

Speaking of COIE, I've been pondering who to suggest to show up in an STF crossover with that. Deadpool was the first to pop into my mind, but who I'd really want to go with is the Exiles. There should be plenty of time to, if nothing else, find the TPB at your public library to give it a read; you won't regret it. (It would also help for getting Nocturne and Sandman on a cover for stroke awareness, as I've long desired.)

I also second the Other Bob's idea.

Regarding the comments mentioning Harvey Birdman two days ago, maybe Harvey Birdman could take the case of Bedrock (The Flintstones) vs. Pokemon (at least Shellder (and Growlithe)) regarding their use in refrigerators, freezers, (and ovens (and the like)).XD

"Queen's Gambit?"

Sounds more like a thinly-disguised request for a team-up between Green Arrow and Remy LeBeau. ;-)

@Anonymous: Seeing as how Ross has never done those two, as yet, I second the motion for such a team-up.

Great cover. Two of my favorites here. I really hope the Black Widow film will be good. As long as they make make a solid action movie without it being bogged down by current sociopolitical messaging, it should be a winner.

Why is the Black Widow coloured like Batgirl?

@my namesake: Because all redheads look hot in black-and-gold. ;-)

Makes me wonder what Clint and Dinah are up to.

I meant Pokemon vs. Bedrock.

Helping Clint's sister (and Dinah's fellow 'Bird of Prey') Helena with something?

Either that, or getting Mockingbird and the rest of her Secret Six out of some trouble even they couldn't handle.

Good cover Ross, glad to see thes two finally meet. Now if you can get Black Widow and Black Canary together or better yet White Canary on another photo cover like the two archers. That would be a special treat.

Helena has already interacted with the Secret Six, too, at least in the comics if not here, so that could even be the same mission...

My point, exactly. :-)
