The Avengers and Adam Strange (Vs. Thanos!)

Doing this cover brought back good memories of Avengers Annual #7 and Marvel Two In One Annual #2, featuring Earth's Mightiest Heroes battling Thanos alongside The Thing and Spider-Man.  This was back in the day when Annuals were a real treat and felt like the most important stories of the year.  Jim Starlin was of course the perfect artist to depict the epic star spanning tale.

I love the classic Avengers with the Beast before cat phases, Vision with original body, Wanda pre-mad phase, etc. Adam Strange makes so much sense in a star spanning epic story.

P.S.---Is Jom Starlin any relation to Jim? ;-)

Adam Strange may never have been a top tier character, but I always liked him.

Here's an idea for a cover. The Welcome Back Kotter Sweathogs(DC TV Comic) meet The Future Foundation Class (Marvel).

Or, failing that, how about Capt. America meets the Blue Oyster Cult in...

"Don't Fear The Sleepers!"

@Carycomic: Close...but no cigar.

Which raises the question; with air pollution laws being what they are, do they even still offer cigars, as prizes, for ringing the high bell at carnivals?
