Warlord and Man-Thing

I hope Marvel finds a way to bring Man-Thing back to the screen, if nothing more than to replace the memory of his cheesy TV movie.  He's got a great, creepy design and would be cool to see him as a supporting character in a future Netflix series or Doctor Strange movie.

Skartaris was set in another dimension, not the center of a hollow Earth, as Man-thing's summoning kind of hints.

Speaking of which, would a hollow earth have an actual sun (which would be SMALLER and lighter than the Earth itself) inside it?

Actually, it was initially implied that that's EXACTLY where Skartaris was; inside a very hollow Earth! That was before DC finally decided to integrate Travis Morgan's world into their mainstream (pre-COIE) universe. And, of course, Mike Grell obviously took his inspiration from ERB's "Pellucidar" series (among other literary sources).

That being said? Man-Thing finding a portal, at the Nexus of All Realities, to the Hollow Earth of a whole other multiverse is not as implausible as one might think.

As for a cinematic debut? I'd LOVE to see Thanos burn at his touch!

There's been talk of a Justice League Dark featuring their mystic and creepy creations. A Legion of Monsters title from Marvel would be welcome.

I would love to see this crossover in real life.

I discovered Man-Thing in those phone books size Essential Man-Thing volumes. I read Showcase Presents: Warlord and really wish DC would put out a second volume. (An a third Showcase Jonah Hex.)

Man-Thing got name checked in Agents of SHIELD once, though I'd love to see something with him and Brother Voodoo

Speaking of ERB, how about Warlord and Tarzan? Tarzan's been to Pellucidar so a trip to Skartaris isn't too out there :D

Personally, I always assumed Skartaris is the parts of Pellucidar that just never appear in the novels.

Yes, do a Tarzan Warlord crossover. Especially since Mike Grell drew both characters!

Cary Comic is right, as usual. Skartaris was originally in the center of a hollow earth, but post COIE was relegated to another dimension.

I love this pairing. It is reminiscent of back in the day comics could just be comics and showcase 2nd tier characters easier. You don't see random titles like Amazing Adventures, Marvel Comics Presents or *Super-Team Family* anymore to expand the universes beyond the core characters designated books.
That's another thing that makes this site great. Not just the crossovers. But the nostalgia.

Given the 'hollow earth' aspect, how about having Warlord face off against either the Mole Man or the Lava Men?
