Captain America and The Doom Patrol

I am glad to see that the whole "Cap as a sleeper Hydra agent" story line seems to finally be coming to a close.  Yes, there have been Captain America gone bad tales before, but they only lasted for an issue or two, rather than dragging on and on and bleeding into other titles.  Hopefully going forward, the comics will feature a Steve Rogers with the heroic qualities that make him an inspiration once again.

Apparently, an upcoming story line involves Cap going on ice again and coming out of the ice in the future.

Yup. That future can't be any worse than the one we just lived through with Secret Empire;)

Damn Ross, you know your way to my heart with these Doom Patrol posts brotha!
Now this, this I want to read.

I blame that all on Frank Miller.

Agreed. If Cap as a Hydra sleeper HAS to be longer than two to three issues it should have been as a Wolverine:Enemy of the State type of story, relatively short and, above all, self contained. Instead Marvel wound up making it look like they agree with some of the world's worst ideologies.

Awesome cover Ross! It's amazing how you match the art styles and create new compositions. I'm surprised Marvel and DC aren't doing crossovers based on your work.

Thank you very much, Dale and Ken!

I am reminded (just a little) of when Cap meet the new brotherhood of evil mutants in Captain America Annual #4

Can we see other Doom Patrol rosters in the future? The Bronze Age lineup, Morrison's team, even the Arcudi roster.

Bah - Imposters all!

Actually, maybe - I have used the Bronze age line up at least once.

This site's index gives us 'The Brave and the Bold' #172 for this.

Was that the one with the zombie Union Army soldier, the four-armed ape man and the telepathic Korean-American girl who wore Goth fishnets?

No, they were quite bit later: The ape-man and the telepathic girl joined shortly before 'Infinite Crisis'.
The 'Bronze Age' line-up, which debuted in the revival of 'Showcase', consisted of Celsius (Indian woman, temperature-related powers, claimed to be the Chief's wife), Negative Woman, Robotman (then generally thought to be the only survivor from the original team), and a 'Tempest' (African-American, energy powers, I think had gone AWOL from the US army during the Vietnam War), with some later recruits after[?] 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'.

@Carycomic: In other words; late Silver Age (aka pre-COIE) line-up.
