Sgt Rock was on the show during the first season. He was the Sgt who got shot in the head by Vandal Savage during WWII. Rip had his helmet on the Waverider.
I wonder if they will have Rodney be alive in time for next movie. I think he'd make a nice cyborg.
I've always thought that DC should do a limited series staring the Unknown soldiers where he is on an extended top secret mission in which he crosses over with virtually all of DC's WWII characters. In addition to the ones you've mentioned, I'd like for them to also include the Blackhawks, the Boy Commandos, Viking Commando (anybody remember him?), Mademoiselle Marie (who I think the Unknown Soldier has met before), the Creature Commandos and G.I. Robot. Who am I forgetting?
Also, does anyone else remember when it was revealed that Batman's butler Alfred had an adult daughter? I think this was sometime in the mid to late 80s. It was implied--although I don't think it was ever confirmed--that her mother was Mademoiselle Marie.
@Sonofjack Well - Yes, it's all true. But that was all pre-crisis, so we'll never see that stuff again.
Alfred's daughter Julia Pennyworth was recently brought back in the comics.
I'm still waiting for an explanation of why the Waynes were walking home from the movies the night they were shot when Wayne Manor is on the outskirts of town. Unless they were walking to a parking garage to get the car, Alfred should have been there to pick them up.
I've always thought of ENEMY ACE as purely a Great War character even though he was used in WW2 as well.
SGT. ROCK and G.I. ROBOT would be great to see in Legends Of Tomorrow.
The HAUNTED TANK story deserves it's own film or mini-series to do it proper justice.

@Mr. High -- True. Remember, though, that Alfred became the Wayne family butler post-Crisis. Pre-Crisis, he didn't come to Wayne Manor until some time after Dick Grayson became Robin. Though he did mention that his father Jarvis (!!) had been Bruce's parents' butler when Bruce was very young, but AFAIK it was never stated when or why he left.
But why were the Waynes walking home from the movies when they lived on the outskirts of town. That's never been explained. I say they had to be walking to a parking garage or maybe a nearby restaurant with Alfred picking them up later.
I could be wrong, but I don't remember it ever being stated that the Waynes were walking HOME. I've always assumed that they were walking to their car. As to why there was no butler/chauffeur there to pick them up, I don't think it's too big a leap to say he had the night off.
Clearly DC needs to do a 12 issue Maxi Series to flesh out and explain this moment. Batman: The Walk.

Is there actually any slack left in Rock's schedule? I'd have thought that every minute from D-Day to VE-Day must have been covered by now...
@Simreeve: in one of the last pre-Flashpoint stories about WWII, Sgt. Rock was supposedly killed shielding a little girl from a stray sniper's bullet just before V-E Day. But in the New 52 multiverse? He's probably still alive, post-WWII, on one of them.
