Booster Gold and Spider-Man 2099

Watching the episodes of Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold that feature Booster Gold really remind me how fun the character is.  With all the recent DC movie announcements being Batman-related, I hope they haven't forgotten about a Booster Gold (or is that Booster/Blue Beetle?) movie, as he has a ton of potential to deliver a fun superhero romp.

Now, why haven't any of us thought to ask for this natural a team-up before?

Because none of us are you, Ross. That's why! :-)

Well to me it is natural in that Booster Gold does time travel and Beetle was based on Spider-Man (sort of) but it would be more natural for Spider-Man 2099 and other future Marvel characters to join the future clone JLA which Booster and Beetle joined briefly before it was cancelled.

Maybe it would be good anniversary issue with multiple future heroes including Batman Beyond, Spiderman-2099, etc. all in action on different spots on cover.

How about Katana vs. Darth Andeddu and the Marvel Zombies? I can't help wondering how Soultaker would do against things that don't have them. Souls, that is.

I have been wanting to put Katana and Michonne together.

Oh, yeah! The Sohei with Soul. Is it true she and the sheriff are an item, now?

There has not been any new updates but there was a Booster Gold TV series or movie proposed for the ScyFy Channel according to Geoff Johns.

The Syfy Channel that did such a rotten job with a "John Carter of Mars" series? Please, God, no!

@ my above namesake: that was _not_ JCM! It was a crappy rendition of FLASH GORDON.

The Booster Gold television series announced during uprfonts by SyFy in 2011 was dropped quietly a year later. That discarded project eventually became the movie that FLASH producer Greg Berlanti is currently developing for Warner Brothers.

At the rate WB is developing properties, a 2099 release date might be realistic.

How about Katana vs the Crow or Spawn. I'm sure there are other characters that could be interestingly affected by the soul sword. I also recently saw the weird crossover of Booster Gold with the Flintstones as well as the Suicide Squad and the Banana Splits. In my opinion, they didn't work very well together. I understand that there is also a Green Lantern/Space Ghost now in comic form that I have high hopes for, but I just wish that better choices had been made for the other crossovers. I think Booster Gold would have mixed nicely with the Impossibles. And as for the Suicide Squad, maybe they could have been forced to work with some of Space Ghost's villains. Crazy, but not improvable. As for the Flintstones and Banana Splits, they would have been better used crossing over with each other. What do you all think?

@ Boosterific: By 2099, they'd probably be shooting in outer space for real (lol)!

I'm a huge fan of both the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited series. Just absolutely fantastic. I can't say enough good things about it.
I broke down some years ago and bought both sets, and although it was spendy, I'm darn glad I did. I watch the whole thing again every year.
...I think I'm about due, again...

(Also great for watching while you're exercising or just feeling blue)

I often wish they had done an episode modeled after SUPERMAN (v.1) #261. Wherein Star Sapphire (temporarily) enslaves the Man of Steel!

Why not let Ross depict that, JLU:TAS-style? He's already successfully simulated it once, in the form of STF # 834.

Maybe booster gold could go back in time to Disney's Hercules' ancient Greece and solicit Philocetes as a mentor.
