The Joker and Arcade
Arcade is one of the X-Men's more outlandish villains, but if the movies can adapt Apocalypse and soon Mister Sinister, then why not him? It would be a nice change of pace from all the world conquering bad guys to have Arcade just messing with the X-Men' heads and springing death traps. With the team now finally sporting their more comic-accurate uniforms, it would make for some awesome visuals at least.

Arcade's M.O. would work great in the 90s, the golden age of Gamer Culture.
all kinds of awesome arcade /roulette would be fun also or dr destiny vs skeletor
Nice one.
Another good match for Arcade would be [DC's] Roulette, who made her debut against the JSA [in modern times, not the Golden Age] and has also run up against -- at the least -- members of the Bat Family: Her shtick is profit from the betting on death-matches, "hunts", and death-traps, that she sets up... and the sale of associated merchandise, such as DVDs.
Arcade's the one villain I could see the Joker forming a real, ongoing alliance with. Their overall world views seem very compatible, and they'd each appreciate the other's sense of humor/fun (and complete lack of conscience).
You know, I've always wondered why the Silver Age Joker went after the JLA through Snapper Carr. The only answer I could formulate is that he must've somehow learned about Snapper briefly adopting his alias (during the "stellaration" confrontation with the Royal Flush Gang) and naturally resented it. His ability to mess with the Silver Age Hulk's head was demonstrated, even more memorably, during that strange alliance with the Shaper!
So, pitting the Hulk against the JLA is definitely a Joker-worthy plan. But, bringing the two factions together is something only Arcade could manage. Although, I'm puzzled as to how he would capture the former. Certainly not through the use of Bat-acupressure!
If Arcade was ever given the film treatment, Jason Lee would be a good choice to portray him.
I think I've read that Arcade was based on either Malcolm McDowell or Robin Williams.
Oh. Oh dear. You haven't read Avengers Arena, have you.
It's a 12-issue series that's basically Battle Royale with the Avengers Academy kids and some other younger heroes. Let's just say that Arcade could definitely be a movie villain.
This is a really well-done cover, smooth meshing of different artists and characters. This is a team up that would work so well in the day, and I think would have been a better graphic novel than some of the ones that were published.
Thanks, Paul! This was a tough one to create, but I was happy with the wasy it came out.
This is one of my favorite pairings to date!. Really inspired Ross. Great job. Again, a story I would love to read.
I was just thinking... you've given us Han Solo and Indiana Jones, so how about Luke Skywalker vs. the Joker and/or the Trickster?
