Firestorm Vs. Fin Fang Foom
I am liking seeing Firestorm featured regularly on DC's Legends of Tomorrow. I can understand why Ronnie Raymond is no longer part of the matrix due to events on The Flash, but I still don't get why the producers invented a new character in Jefferson Jackson rather than using Jason Rusch from the comics. It's frustrating to see the plot hoops that are jumped through to keep Firestorm out of action - The limitations of a TV show, I suppose. When he does show up, the only powers he seems to display are flight and throwing fire - which when paired with his helmetless head makes him come off more as a Human Torch rip off than Firestorm. Hopefully, they will update both his costume and power set soon.

Firestorm finally fights Fin Fang Foom! Fantastic! :)
FIN FANG FOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!
I hadn't realized you'd used Fin Fang Foom so many times. You must be a Fin Fang Fan (Fin Fan Foom? Fan Fang Foom?).
Who isn't?
Ross - You had me at Firestorm! But you probably already knew that. Love this cover! So much fun!
In regard to Jefferson Jackson, he's actually not a new invention. In the comics, he was Ronnie's best friend on the basketball team. Don't believe me? Go back and ask this guy who used to get letters printed in the Firestorm letter column. The letter writer was a guy named "Ross" or something. ;)
In the show, they had already introduced Jason Rusch as one of Stein's former assistants. When Robbie Amell left the show, they needed to find a replacement. They wanted to recapture the spirit of the comic version, combining a scientific genius (Stein) with a regular guy/jock. Well, the Jason Rusch character was also a genius. Having two scientific geniuses in Firestorm wasn't what they wanted. So Jefferson Jackson from the comics was re-purposed to be more like Ronnie in his jock high school years. At least that's how the show runners explained it.
Keep up the amazing work here!!
The Irredeemable Shag
OK, that makes sense. I forgot about a comic book version of JJ - I'll have to dig out those old Fury of Firestorm issues...
There was also a scene that was cut from the last episode of the first season of the Flash where Firestorm showed Caitlyn how they were able to transmute objects. :)
"THE MARTIN STEIN MONSTER."
Classic! X-D
Now THIS is a matchup! Can you just imagine the battle??!!?

Or, as Stan Lee might have said, had this question arisen back in the'6os, a 'Friend of ol' Fin Fang Foom' (with 'FooFFF' as the short form)?
QNS
^_^
Alaric: I think "Fin Fang Foom fan" is fine. :)
RE: Firestorm is the Human Torch... I would also note to you that The Atom is much more Iron Man than he is the actual Atom, although they have started to add some shrinking.
All persons of taste should read the poem in this blog post about FIN FANG FOOM.

I'd rather read "Fin Fang Foom vs. FemForce" (FFFvFF).
