It has been interesting to watch Victor Stone make the move from Teen Titan to Titan to Justice Leaguer in the comics. I think it would have been nice to see a similar evolution in his theatrical appearances as well. That does not appear to be the case as he is now set to be a founding member of the movie JLA. Any Titan appearances will probably be well down the road a bit, and I am not sure how they would work in the cinematic timeline anyway.

My brother and I used to whine when we were little and saw Cyborg in the New Teen Titans, "he ain't nothing but a ripoff of Deathlok!" and I proceeded to buy Teen Titans until #50, so I guess I liked them. LOL!
A "ripoff" huh? Ha ha, maybe he was visually influenced a bit by Deathlok, but Cyborg is definitely his own man. I wonder if with the new, upcoming rebirth, if Cyborg will have had a Titans past as a former member, or if he'll be a founder member of the JLA in the comics too?
Personally I don't see why he was allowed to graduate to the League in such a prominent way, as to replace J'onn Jonz'z, but I guess that's why I'm not running DC.
Great team-up idea though actually.
Yay! Classic Deathlok! I don't care if he's Luthor Manning or Micheal Collins- I like both those versions of the character. Deathlok shouldn't be a generic cyborg- to me, part of the whole original point of the Manning version was that he was basically a walking corpse, brought back to life by technology. The Collins version was essentially a living brain inside some else's reanimated corpse. That helped give both Deathloks a kind of mix of horror and pathos that added a lot to the concepts. At least, that's my opinion.
Joe Morton was Silas Stone in the Batman-Superman movie. IF there is a Cyborg movie, he will definitely deliver as Silas.
I'm surprised bro and I didn't whine every superhero, including Superman, was a ripoff of Spiderman. That was kids tho.
Cyborg went into the Super Powers cartoon, basically the JLA, with no mention of the Teen Titans, so I'm sure he'll do the same thing here.
As for why he was put in the JLA? Because Black Lightning, Black Vulcan, they were scoffed at. Victor Stone always had strength behind him and character. Garfield Logan, the Changeling, and especially one page with a crying Wally West, ripped all the humanity imaginable out of ol' Stone, and then of course, there was his dad and his origin issue.
So Cyborg was set.

I like this cover very much but being a fan of the classic Deathlok, Luther Manning I would have chosen him over Micheal Collins.
I haven't read many New 52 comics since the first JLA story arc ended, but isn't Vic supposed to be a founding JLA member in the New 52 universe? Or did the Titans preceed the JLA somehow?

Cyborg is very much influenced by Deathlok, as George Perez broke into comics as an assistant to Rich Buckler, co-creator of Deathlok.

Yes, to all cyborg's having the same side of the face mechanicalized. That was further 'evidence' to us as kids that Victor Stone was just a blatant ripoff of Deathlok.
As a prospective cosplayer and a fellow with a bad left eye (severe glaucoma), I look for male characters that I can do the former with while acknowledging the latter. Before today, Deathlok was just a faint memory of something I'd once noted; I'd seen the title but not been especially interested. I'm going to take a closer look at him now; he's added to the list.
For the curious, others on my list include Nick Fury, Two-Face, Rooster Cogburn, "Mad Eye" Moody (from the Harry Potter books and films), General Chang (from Star Trek VI), and Archangel (from the TV show Airwolf).

However, didn't Marvel's later 'Coldblood' have the right side replaced instead?
