The Human Torch and Green Arrow
I am looking forward to the new season of Arrow. Even if last season's episodes were uneven, the show seems poised to bring the Oliver Queen closer to his comic book counterpart. With promises of Starling City becoming Star City, The Arrow becoming The Green Arrow, and a new costume, it looks as though the patience of viewers will really be paying off in upcoming episodes.

typo "even" on first line
I have to confess, Ross, to being a little more pessimistic about the chances for a Season 5 of ARROW. I missed the two-part crossover between it and FLASH, the first time around. So, I initially considered myself lucky to catch it during the course of the summer re-runs.
I was vastly disappointed in both episodes...to the point where I wouldn't have been surprised at their _not_ being a Season 2 for FLASH (let alone, ARROW Season 4)!
So, the fact that both shows got renewed can only be described as a minor miracle.
I've been completely out of the loop as far as watching "Arrow" is concerned, and even more so "The Flash." I hope I can do a bit of catch-up in the coming months via DVD, though.
That said, to me there's more than just the costume to get me to accept the TV character as being truly close to his comic book persona. The main thing is The Beard. That iconic bit of blond facial hair is what sets his look apart from all other comic heroes in my mind -- kind of like Wolverine's sideburns. :)
I watched the first episodes of both Arrow and The Flash. I like The Flash more than Arrow. I might binge watch them on Netflix and Hulu. Probably the same with Supergirl.
Be warned, Air Dave. Hulu has twice as many commercials as regular TV!
Makes me wish I could e-mail them one big collective: "No! All your commercials are permanently _irrelevant_ to me."
