Popeye And Groo the Wanderer

I have been a fan of Sergio Aragones for as long as I can remember.  His contributions to Mad Magazine were always my favorite part of the issues and I loved squinting to see all the cool tiny "Marginal" cartoons that he would draw in the borders.  Now, a question:  Have those Marginals ever been collected together in one edition?  I am sure it would be a painstaking chore, but if there were such a complilation for sale I would purchase it in a heartbeat!

There was one in 1974. They should print another one. http://www.amazon.com/MAD-MARGINALS-collection-drawn-dramas/dp/B001ADUL82

I enjoy your usual superhero crossovers. I enjoy your occasional cartoonish match-ups (still chuckle at Phoney and Uncle $). I note this one has two cartoonish superheroes! (Well, at least by that loose definition that includes Tarzan and Sherlock and Batman as superheroes.) Those styles go together really well, don't they!

Met Mr. Aragones, briefly, at ComiCon years ago, in the small publications area IIRC. A true gentleman; my wife and daughter still go starry-eyed when recalling talking with him. :D

I've got to agree-- Sergio has been the most engaging pro I've ever met at a convention. "True gentleman" really says it all. I loved his "Sergio Aragones Funnies" from Bongo a couple of years back; I was amazed at how well his generous nature came across on those pages.

Okay, this one may be my new favorite.

I've only heard extremely positive about Sergio, and I've loved his stuff since the days of "Plop!" and then discovered Mad! I've just finished his Groo vs Conan, and starting Friends and Foes. This is a great teaming, funny but not afraid to attack! I seem to remember a trade paperback of Marginals about 10 years ago, not sure if it was a reprint of that first one or all new collection!
