Steve Austin seems like he would have been a good candidate to join S.H.I.E.L.D. He's part man, part Life Model Decoy already, after all!

The first time I heard the word "cyborg" was in the credits for the original ABC TV-pilot. "Based on the novel 'Cyborg' by Martin Caidin." But, in this image capture, Nick Fury looks more like Deathlok. Which makes me suspect he's more LMD than Col. Austin, at this moment!
Holy cow, that must be the gaudiest outfit Nick Fury ever wore.
I had a Steve Austin action figure as a kid. It came with a car engine he could lift with one hand, exactly as depicted here. Was this drawing from some of the toy's promotional material?
Yes, it's from an ad.
This looks more like a job for Mike "Atomic Man" Power of the GI Joe Adventure Team.
Is Steve Austin flexing that engine as a workout to build up his strength? I'm willing to bet bionics don't work that way. He'd only wear his metallic parts down, not build his strength up. What has Dr. Wells been telling him?
Was his spine bionic as well? If not, then lifting that engine with one hand would probably cause at the least a slipped disc...
I think those atomic-powered neuro-links compensated for that.
@Jason: he's more likely going to use it as a counter-offensive weapon against the Bad Guys. What you might call: assault with a battery. ;-)
Steve could certainly mop the proverbial floor with all the so-called "martial artists" in the current remake of "STREET FIGHTER."
Nick at Night is really different, isn't he??
The original Cyborg here, team Steve up with Robotman, Cyborg, Lando's head of security, and a host of others against Robotman's arch villian The Brain
I think we stand a better chance of seeing both Robo Forces teaming up with the Synthetic Six against Mr. Universe.
Like Sternako-meets-Ditko (and not in a good way).
