Nighthawk Vs. Doctor Light

I always really liked this costume of nighthawk's, buccaneer boots and all.  That cape seems like it would be kind of difficult to draw, but it was unique and looked really cool to me.

Oh, yeah! This is definitely going to make the Gunfight at the OK Corral look like an inter-high school debate.

Terrific cover, just like night and day (get it!) I know Nighthawk is Ron Frenz and the people in the foreground is Schaffenberger, but is Dr. Light, I don't recognize the art, guess it's from the angle.

Yes Dr. Light is by Schaffenberger.

I have another dopey idea you probably already did. A group (heroic or villanous) called the Light Brigade, with characters like Dr. Light, Dazzler, Eclipso. Cloak and Dagger, that black lady who was called Captain Marvel for a while but whose new name I have forgotten, and so on who either use light as a primary weapon or who are especially averse to it.

They've appeared 5 times: https://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/search/label/The%20Light%20Brigade

Nighthawk seems like someone saw Batman & Hawkman together and got an inspiration. Nighthawk meet WonderWoman and go against Owl-Man yet?
Just how honorable is he these days?

Always great to see the under appreciated Nighthawk make an appearance on STF.

NICE MERGING OF IMAGES THERE. I THINK NIGHTHAWK SHOULD MEET MORE LEGIONAIRES LIKE WILDFIRE & DAWNSTAR OR ADAM & ALANNA STRANGE NEXT. CHRIS KL-99 4 SOMETHING WAY OUT OF LEFT FIELD.

@namesake from 3PM: dial it down, please.

@Ross: the only pairing that might be more interesting than these two? Conan vs. Amethyst (Princess of Gemworld)!

I mean, Nighthawk was originally an intentional Batman tribute, as a member of the Squadron Sinister, who were evil Justice League analogs. When he reformed and joined the Defenders, he acquired the new costume and jetpack, presumably to distance him from Batman a bit.

on one occasion when his Squadron Superior counterpart visited Marvel's main Earth (Earth-616?) somebody who saw him asked a friend "Didn't he use to have a television series?"
