Hank's probably being mind-controlled by Houngan (doing that cyber-voodoo that he does so well). As to why? Maybe the Brain is hoping to be transplanted into the Beast's body. If only to have an organic tete-a-tete with M'sieur Mallah!

In other words, a Light Beast? Nah! I still think it's a case of Houngan-based mind-control so that the Brain can do to McCoy what the Ultra-Humanite did to that poor Earth 2 yeti!
